The Orchestra's label Coco Records was dedicated to developing the Afro-Cuban and Afro-Rican traditional roots music, regardless of the trends of the era. This album benfits from being on this label, it is allowed to breathe and experiment outside strict Latin styles, wandering into Jazz music at times on this highly rated work.
