Artist Listing : Madden And Harris (2 products)

Madden And Harris - Fool’s Paradise. LP. (Abraxas - AK315LP)

180 gram vinyl pressing by this Australian duo who were responsible for an exceptional fusion of progressive rock and folk, originally released in a limited edition of 500 copies. Released by Jasmine Records in 1975, it manages to raise from its folkish background to a fuller rock experience, with the addition of mellotron and vintage keyboards. Dave Madden and Peter Harris are here backed up by a great rhythm section composed by Paul Baker (bass) and Doug Gallagher (drums) for an amazing session that reaches its apex in the suite that gives the name to the album. Impeccable.

Madden And Harris - Fool's Paradise. CD. (M2U Records - 2001)

Reissue of ultra rare and beautiful Australian progressive folk rock album from 1975. Somewhere between Magna Carta, The Moody Blues and Tir Na Nog it’s a beautiful laid back dreamy album with proggy flourishes. Delicate vocals and a haunting production with a weird psychedelic vibe and swathes of mellotrons add up to a bewitching musical experience. Housed in a hard card mini LP sleeve with inserts. Well worth investigating.
