Men They Couldn't Hang - The Shooting. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD78) At long last- the first ever DVD issue by one of the best-known names of the 80s folk-punk boom, The Men They Couldn't Hang. Even more significantly, this 2005 release comes from their legendary 'final gig' (before their inevitable reformation, that is) at the London Town and Country Club in 1991. Performed are many of their key tracks- "Iron Masters", "The Green Fileds Of France" and "The Bounty Hunter"- as well as eight tracks- now all digitally remastered- NOT included on the original video release of the concert. Something to drink your best cider and bang your favourite tin tray to!!

Men They Couldn't Hang - Smugglers & Bounty Hunters. Dble CD. (Recall 2CD/Snapper - SMDCD553) A 2CD set of the Men's 21st anniversary concert, recorded in 2004, which shows this politically charged bunch of punk-folkers (or is it folk-punkers?) letting forth with a litany of their best known tunes. Get the bottle open and have a tin tray ready.

Men They Couldn't Hang - Never Born To Follow. CD. (Demon Records - FIENDCD788) 1996 album that showcases the band's reformation and sees them moving between all points, from foot-on-the-monitor rawk n' roll to moments of surprising tenderness. Very nice.

Men They Couldn't Hang - Night Of A Thousand Candles. CD. (Demon Records - DIAB839) After the independent chart success the initial singles, this debut was destined to do well and was indeed a music press favourite of 1985. 16 tracks, including 'The Green Fields Of France' and 'Ironmasters'.

Men They Couldn't Hang - Never Born To Follow. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD 158) One of the best-known names of the 80s folk-punk boom, this is a twenty track live show from their 1998 tour filmed in Newcastle. Bonus feature: backstage footage featuring soundchecks, studio and backstage rehearsals and more from their 2006 tour. Includes: the independent chart top ten hits "Ironmasters" and "The Green Fields Of France", as well as "The Wonder Of It All" and "Shirt Of Blue."
