Mutantes - Tudo Foi Feito Pelo Sol. CD. (Gala - 4179)

A much harder sound on this late '70s release by the famous Brazilian band. This album has a progressive feel with plenty of extended work-outs for guitars and keyboards. Still sounds excellent though, albeit in a somewhat different way.

Mutantes - Technicolor. LP.

AMAZING! A complete previously unreleased English album from 1970 by the Brazilian psych giants! Containing material from their first three albums plus some new stuff this release proves what a great band they were. Harmonious and crazy latin tinged psych rock/pop with plenty of freaky passages. Limited quantity of vinyl available due to small pressing run.....will not be in stock for long.

Mutantes - Os Mutantes. LP. (Lilith Records - LR141LP)

180 gram repro of debut album from 1968, by these Brazilian art psych Gods. These guys are probably the pick of the crop if you want to taste what went on in late '60s Brazil. Strange melodic orchestral compositions rub shoulders with freaked out '60s style keyboards and guitars, innovative tape loops, phased vocals, melodic pop and downright weirdness that at times resembles early Pink Floyd and Mothers of Invention. Wonderful!

Mutantes - Mutantes. LP. (TANTHME FOTH MUSIC ARCHIVES - TF011)

Exact repro of the second album by this fabulous '60s Brazillian band. This is a really weird album. At one moment Brazillian / Spanish folk rings out and at the next an early Pink Floyd like acid freakout takes over. Pop and psychedelia merge with traditional styles, orchestral arrangements and groovy garage psych. Wonderous and now highly influential (Beck, Wondermints etc...).

Mutantes - E Seus Cometas No Pais Do Baurets. CD. (Universal Jazz - 8134162)

By the early seventies Mutantes were still playing their own unique blend of psychedelic rock, but their influences were enlarging. On this 1972 album the insanity of earlier releases is joined by pastoral almost symphonic pieces and some blistering all out rock and roll.

Mutantes - Divine Comedy...or I Walk Disconnected. LP. (Polydor - LPNG 44.048)

Mutantes third album and a heavier more progressive/acid rock sound but still with the weird and whacky mixture of pop/psych/brazillian music. There is some killer acid wah-wah guitar here, along with moments of fragile acoustic beauty.... Exact vinyl repro.

Mutantes - "A" E O "Z". CD. (Universal Jazz - 5123162)

A previously unreleased '70s album that came out in 1992, shows Brazilian band Mutantes further consolidating their mantle as Kings of the psychedelic psamba. Featuring a more keyboard dominated progressive slant than previously, this still contains all of the strangeness of previous releases with an impressive mixture of guitars, violins and mellotrons.....

Mutantes - Jardim Eletrico. CD. (Universal Jazz - 8258872)

Yet another re-issue by the Mutantes and this 1971 album is very rocky and could be labeled as protest like, once again in tru Mutantes style the spice of experimental and avant-garde parts shine through. Also contains a strange version of 'Baby', a cover from a Caetano Veloso's hit. CD contains the following cuts 1 Top Top 2 Benvinda 3 Tecnicolor 4 El Justiceiro 5 It's Very Nice Pra Xuxu 6 Portugal De Navio 7 Virgínia 8 Jardim Elétrico 9 Lady, Lady 10 Saravá 11 Baby.
