Evolving from the sound laid down by bands such as Kyuss, this awesome Argentinian group are really out on the edges pushing 'stoner' into a new and exciting direction. Rock music not afraid to experiment and engage with its history in Indian raga and other indigenous folk forms. Tribal rhythms combine with drones and tonal improvisation to create a fresh, new sound that haunts and unsettles while shining a light down a new musical path. Third full length (2002) from the Argentinian mind-expanders Los Natas. To label this music Stoner Rock seems more than a little unfair. The influence of Kyuss is certainly noticable but the Stoner vibe is but one sound in the breath-taking buffet of styles on show here. There's a decididly blues infected space rock feel to the album and even a touch of jazzual experimentation involved. Ultimately though the album throbs and charges with a volatile intensity which should please any fan of psychedelic heavy rock, not to mention those who like there music served with a healthy dollop of herbal refreshment! Reissued on Small Stone after Man's Ruin went breast over booty.
