This classic 1979 album was largely responsible for re-launching Young's career. Reunited with Crazy Horse, this half acoustic half electric set included thundering versions of subsequent career highlights such as "Hey Hey My My," "Powderfinger" and "Pocahontas." A stunning tour-de-force.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Re-ac-tor. CD. (Reprise Records - 484982)

Remastered version of this 1981 guitar-drenched hard rock set of which the group plays fiercely, as usual, but more improvised than before (in keeping with the times) especially on the nine-minute "T-Bone," which has repetative chants. "Motor City," finds Neil having a go at cars in general and "Rapid Transit," which Neil has a pop at new wave/punk music. Fierce stuff indeed from the daring old goat.
