Neil Young - Tonight's The Night. LP. (Warner Bros. - MS 2221) 1975 release but written and recorded in 1973 after the drug overdose death of roadie Bruce Berry. This album has been described as Neil's musical attempt to come to terms with fame and the loss of his friends (guitarist Danny Whitten had OD'd just 6 months earlier). It certainly has a raw, emotive quality emphasised on tracks like "Tired Eyes", "World On A String" and the title track.Exact repro and includes the gatefold sleeve.

Neil Young - On The Beach. LP. Vinyl pressing of the classic lost Neil Young album which shows the basic underproduced side to Neil and with the lyrics being so harrowing it's difficult at first to see why the album is so good. It is(in short) a work of genius with tracks like "Ambulance Blues", "For the Turnstiles" & the title track being just three. On the Beach is perhaps the most personal record Neil Young will ever make. It chronicles his emergence from a deep depression, caused in part by the critical reaction to his post-Harvest artistic output. It's fantastic - simple as that! VERY LIMITED COPIES AVAILABLE.

(Reprise Records - 484992) For the first time on CD - alas no extra tracks but it has been digitally remastered and contains extensive booklet.This1980 studio album contains obscure acoustic and country-tinged songs and the interesting 7 minute cut about CSN&Y 'The Old Homestead'.

Including the famous title track it also includes "Southern Man" and "When You Dance". Although dark in places there are plentty of uplifting melodies. Making it one of the definitive singer/songwriter albums, and has remained among Young's major achievements. Stunning.
