Two of the best from the Grateful Dead offshoots, recorded in 1972 and 1973. Twenty-two immaculately crafted tales of cowboys, dope dealers and outlaws, all draped with pedal steel guitars and great harmonies. The title track of 'Panama Red' is a masterpiece of the highest order.
