Teardrop Explodes - Peel Sessions Plus. CD. (Label: Mercury, Cat.No: 5303327) The neo-psychedelic/post punk band that had a number of UK chart hits and were fronted by the krautrock meister Julian Cope. This collection spans the groups entire career and includes (radically) alternative versions of single and album tracks and cover versions performed for John Peel's radio shows. Sixteen tracks in all, including: "Like Leila Khaled Said", "Bent Out Of Shape", "Brave Boys Keep Their Promises" and "When I Dream."	Os Haxixins - Os Haxixins. LP. (Label: , Cat.No: GROOVIE008LP) Out of the southern hemisphere comes the fuzz laden with a measure of combo organ sounds from Brazil's Os Haxixins. For a 2007 release this is one of the most authentic garage bands I’ve heard in some time. These recordings capture true to the recorded performances of the great sixties groups the Music Machine the Standells & We the People. Portuguese & English vocals only adds to the uniqueness of Os Haxixins music.They use only vintage equipment and analog recording techniques to achieve what’s truly a great LP. Make dam sure you take the trip and dig this happening scene.
On Trial - Live At Gutter Island. LP. (Label: Bad Afro Records, Cat.No: FRO 1010) It was a magic moment when On Trial hit the stage at the Gutter Island festival last summer. The show was recorded and will now be released on vinyl in a coorporation between National Danish Radio and Bad Afro Records. The album is a part of a series of live records recorded at Gutter Island and in the past there has been releases by Baby Woodrose, The Defectors and The Burnouts. The material on the album is mostly taken from the "Forever" album that was released in May last year. But it also includes the previously unreleased "Pure Evil" and a cover version of the Love song " A House Is Not A Motel". Tracklisting: 01. Morning sun in Burg -herzberg mountain 02. Pure evil 03. Josiah once again adore 70's hard rock, monster riffs founded on solid rock, smoked psychedelia and all the rest of it rolled into a neat little bundle for you. Dirty heavy and raw with trippy lead guitar breaks - Reassuringly bluesy and unrpentantly old school. ‘No Time’ is full of foot stomping moments, including plenty of glorious wahwah pedal abuse, while "My Bird Of Prey" is pure beauty and would grace any early 70's UK rock album easily.

(Label: , Cat.No: CDVD 156) Twenty track live DVD from one of the long term Roots and Rockabilly performers. Recording and touring since the '50's and responsible for the '70's/'80's Rockabilly revival, he was the most prolific artist on the Rollin' Rock label during the '70's and uickly became a cult performer. This live gig came from after he temporarily quit recording in the 80s, intensifying his touring schedule and bringing his experiences to a new breed of rockabilly fans. Varying from biker blues, horror surf and acid punk to drug rock, ultra-doom and spaced-out psychedelia, this limited black label edition comes with beautiful psychedelic silk-screen artwork by Zeloot, recommended to all cult freaks and fans of Drunks With Guns, Orange Sunshine, Davie Allan and the Arrows, the early works of Monster Magnet and all the sick underground movies! (Label: Maida Vale / Cooking Vinyl, Cat.No: MVRCD002) One of the most upfront of the US eighties Paisley Underground, Green on Red came across like Neil Young with a REALLY BIG chip on his shoulder. These BBC sessions were recorded between 1982 and 1992 at Maida Vale for Andy Kershaw, Richard Skinner, Saturday Sequence Johnny Walker and Bob Harris. This is the first time these nineteen tracks have been commercially available and include various experiments and cover versions as well as the band's own material.
Fall - Reformation Post TLC. Dble LP. (Label: Slogan/Sanctuary, Cat.No: SLODV007) The Fall are widely regarded as one of the greatest punk and post-punk bands of all time. In a career spanning nearly 30 years, Mark E Smith and his ever-evolving band of likeminded individuals have created some of themost interesting, cutting edge and influential guitar records. Like many cult bands they have influenced a new generation of underground and alternative acts making The Fall as relevant as they have always been. This 2007 double LP studio album sees the Fall return to their very best. Mark E Smith's vocals sneer over garage rock guitar and a pummelling rhythm section.Housed in a single sleeve,	Screaming Trees - Clairvoyance. CD. (Label: Hall Of Records, Cat.No: HOR1112) Debut album by the psychedelia inspired seattle band, first released in 1986. Their energetic take on garage rock and sampling is surprisingly accomplished for their first long player, this was nearly the finished article rather than simply a tesing of the waters for the Tree's. Sadly the group never got the major breakthrough they deserved despite their connection / friendship to other Seattle monster groups of the era like Nirvana and Soundgarden.
