Patrick Moraz - Story Of I. CD. (I - IDVP003CD)

'The Story Of I was Patrick’s debut solo album and recorded in late 1975 during a period when all the members of Yes embarked on solo projects. The album was a concept piece based around a story Patrick had written. Musically the album features Latin and rock rhythms in fact the entire album has a very percussive feel to it. One of the featured musicians on the album alongside Patrick is well known session drummer Andy Newmark. Other featured musicians on the album are jazz drummer Alphonse Mouzon and bassist Jeff Berlin. he Story Of I is part of an extensive reissue campaign through 2006 that will see all Patrick’s back catalogue albums receive a new release through Voiceprint. To this end Patrick has personally overseen the re master of all the albums in the catalogue.

Patrick Moraz - Future Memories Live On TV. CD. (Time Wave - IDVP008CD)

Swiss keyboardist Patrick Moraz became one of the seminal names on the prog-rock scene of the seventies, most famously with Yes and The Moody Blues. His fine series of solo albums also won him many fans. Future Memories Live On TV was at the time considered a brave experiment. The music was performed live for a Swiss television programme and recorded directly to tape as the programme was broadcast. At one point you can even hear the television cameras moving around Patrick. The album consists of three tracks Metamorphoses, Eastern Sundays and Black Silk.

Patrick Moraz - Human Interface. CD. (Time Wave - IDVP011CD)

A key 1987 album from the former keyboard wizard with Yes and The Moody Blues, remastered by the man himself. More synthy and sparse than his analogue solo work of the '70's, there are also no south American / Latin influenced tracks that you might expect. Seemingly influenced by Vangelis and Jarre, this step worried a lot of his fans at the time but the new atmospheric direction works well in retrospect and he managaes to create some moments that rank amongst his best. Includes: the excellent opener "Light Elements", "Kyushu" and "Stormtroops on Loops."
