Queens Of The Stone Age - Songs For The Deaf. Dble LP. (Ipecac - IPRLP 43)

Very rare double vinyl version of QOTSA's third album (dating from 2002) housed in a black gatefold sleeve. This is the album that broke the Queens into the major league and once again deals with pills, punk rock, dark humour and death - 'Songs For The Deaf' is an album very aware that these things in themselves are not anything new but that the bands world has become progressively darker. As such we find the band nothing less than guardians of the rock flame. Already the album contains contains classics such as 'You Think I Ain't Worth A Dollar But I Feel Like A Millionaire', 'A Song For the Deaf' and 'No-one Knows'. Just a brilliant band.

Queens Of The Stone Age - Queens Of The Stone Age. LP. (Mans Ruin - 11534)

First full length album from 1998 from the riff crazy Americans who emerged from the ashes of Kyuss. One of the best heavy rock albums in years with flashes of early Grand Funk and other 70's rock acts in the fact there's no screaming or rock & roll antics - heavy stuff that doesn't let up. After a few listens to this you'll be tapping along to an amzing groove on songs like "Regular John," the beauty of "Avon," and the blues-soaked "Walkin' on the Sidewalks. Great cover art and a beautiful American style gatefold sleeve.…Only a few copies
