Artist Listing : Queensrÿche (1 products)

Queensrÿche - Take Cover. CD. (Rhino - 8122799599)

You’ve never heard anything like it: Queensrÿche pay tribute to a diverse collection of favourite songs with an 11-song covers compilation ranging from Pink Floyd to Black Sabbath and Buffalo Springfield To Broadway - and much more. Though they rarely perform anything besides their distinctive original material, Seattle-based hard rockers Queensrÿche turn in a stellar set when they master the unexpected by putting their indelible sonic stamp on adventurous covers demonstrating far-reaching tastes and inspirations. 'Take Cover' offers an all-new perspective on a riveting band best known for its signature virtuosity and intensely creative theatricality. Queensrÿche take on eleven diverse cover songs. Highlights include Pink Floyd's "Welcome To The Machine", CSN&Y's "Almost Cut My Hair", Peter Gabriel's "Red Rain," and The Police's "Synchronicity II." Plus a nod to Broadway with "Heaven On Their Minds" from Jesus Christ Superstar, an acoustic version of "For What It's Worth" and a venture into opera with respected vocalist Tate's take on "Odissea," originally made famous by the Italian duo Carlo Marrale & Cheope. Also featuring Queen's "Innuendo," Black Sabbath's "Neon Knights" and a live 10:26 version of U2's "Bullet The Blue Sky".
