Quintessence - Self & Indweller. CD. (Drop Out Records - DOCD 1982)

Fourth and fifth albums, both from 1972, from the UK hippy collective Quintessence. Regarded by many as one of the key underground community bands of the era along with Hawkwind and The Pink Fairies they were cornerstones of the Ladbroke Grove scene. These albums are more instrospective, with Indweller featuing some beautiful reflective and at times despairing songs. Self includes live material proving that the band could really let rip with blistering acid rock jams in a live environment. Great stuff.
