R.L. Burnside - A Ass Pocket Of Whiskey. CD. (Fat Possum Records - FP10262) Collaborative effort between veteran Delta blues guitarist Burnside, whose true recognition came after his 70th birthday, and those progenitors of the modern day swaggering swamp rock scene the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion. For extra authenticity, the album was recorded in a rented out hunters cabin near Holly Springs, Mississippi, with both frontmen at full throttle. Originally released on Matador in 1996: now reissued in a groovy digipak by Fat Possum.
