Radio Birdman - Essential Radio Birdman. CD. (Sub Pop - SPCD553)

Great retrospective CD of this Aussie act who released 2 albums for Sire Records during the late 70's of which have a crossover sound of the Stooges meeting the MC5 and no matter how many times you have heard that comparison this lot really did!

Radio Birdman - Zeno Beach. CD. (Crying Sun - CSR002)

The Birdman's first new recording in 25 years. Originaly the focus of the early '70's Sydney Punk scene, despite focussing more on Garage and high energy Rock, they broke up on '78. Highly influencial on the Australian alternative scene over the past twenty years, here they have emerged from the ashes. Showing off as much energy and possesion of fine tunes as before, they have introduced more sounds to their arsenal, primal garage rockers, acid drenched tracks and Arthur Lee/love style laments. Includes: "We've Come So Far", "Locked Up", "Heyday" and "Hungry Cannibals." Welcome back boys!
