Rainbow Band - Rainbow Band. CD. (Long Hair Music - LHC00018) The eponymous album of the highly recommended Danish Rainbow Band (who later became the equally good Midnight Sun) was recorded in 1970 and is very much like Wig Wam with lengthy tracks such as "Living on the Hill" which have amazing instrumental passages and stunning fluid, guitar work from Peer Frost. In places the band owe more to West Coast bands with flashes of It's a Beautiful Day or Sons Of Champlin without the brass. The album contains an excellent informative booklet and 7 bonus tracks not on the original release.
