Randy Bachman - Axe. CD. (Wounded Bird Records - WOU 4348)

First time on CD for this 1970 solo album from the former guitarist for The Guess Who, who would later form the ultra-successful Bachman-Turner-Overdrive. Recorded in the same month as The Guess Who's last album with Bachman, it was also engineered by Brian Christian and featured Garry Peterson on drums. A brilliant example of Bachman's guitar abilities, this instrumental nine track album highlights his critical role in the band he was leaving and the partnership he would soon form with Rob Bachman and C.F. Turner (both in Brave Belt at the time).this album remains the perfect musical bridge between his two classic rock bands
