Reclusive UK solo artist Reefus Moons made his name on the late 1980s neo psych circuit and produced a number of privately pressed albums. Very much in the tradition of Soft Boys / Robyn Hitchcock / Syd Barrett his music relies heavily on weird lyrics backed up with great pop psych tunes and a polished production This is one of his best albums from 1993 and includes the brilliant "Acid House Sergeant" along with other surreal ditties. Class output from this UK underground cult figure who creates psych pop music with a modern edge, without losing sight of the weirdness. Last copies and hard to find!

It's been a long time since we last saw a Reefus Moons album, but here's a brand new one issued in 2007 on his own Insect Eye Label. Reefus Moons was on Deleriums' very own Psychedelic Psauna album back in 1991 along with many other neo-psych legends now fallen by the wayside, so it's great to see him back in action. The usual high quality psych pop rock in a Syd/Hitchcock style backs up the evergreen vocal refrains and wit of Yorks very own acid pop minstrel ! Highly recommended.
