Rex Holman - Here In The Land Of Victory. CD. (Fallout - FOCD2053) Reissue on CD of ultra-rare U.S. acid psych/folk album originally from 1970 in the style of Fred Neil/Tim Buckley/Donovan. Holman's deep vibrato-heavy voice is to the fore and while "Red Is The Apple", has a blues slant the rest of the album is Eastern Flavoured acid folk with sitars, tablas, trance-like flutes, and occasional lead electric guitars.Bit-part actor Rex Holman is perhaps better-known to Star Trek and Monkees fans than music enthusiasts,but this is well worth checking out.
