Two stunning albums (from 1969 and 1971) featuring the voice of Minnie Ripperton and the excellent band that had built up around her. A mix of psychedelic rock with soul "Song" includes a variety of highly original cover versions such as "The Weight", "Respect", "Burning Of The Midnight Lamp" and "Tales Of Brave Ulysses" whilst the later one concentrates on complex group compositions. Great acid guitar merges with heavenly vocal harmonies, orchestration and funky backing. Brilliant!
