Sage - Sage By Sage. CD. (Radioactive - RRCD081) Incredibly rare album of pysche and southern rock from this Miami outfit. Originally released on the Illusion label in 1970, the history of this album is steeped in mystery and not much is known about either the band or the labe. Some believe the label was set up as a tax scam and that all Sage albums were either given away or destroyed upon release! True or not, what is known is that this album is ridiculously rare and the sight of an original copy has been known to make even the most hardened collector go blind. There is a strong boogie feel to the instrumentation on the album, similar to the "Allman Brothers", and the songs are reminiscent of, among others, "Dr Hook" or the "Sutherland Brothers".
