Shuggie Otis - Inspiration Information. LP. (Epic - KE 33059)

1974 album from Shuggie Otis (who plays almost all the instruments himself) which was ignored at the time of its release but is now celebrated as a lost classic. Sounding completely out of time having more in common with the psychedelic soul that was much favoured 4 or 5 years earlier than with any trends of the day, it is nonetheless a very good album that showcases Shuggie's many talents as guitarist, singer and songwriter. Now pressed on 180 gram vinyl and housed in the original sleeve (not used for the recent CD reissue).

Shuggie Otis - Here Comes Shuggie Otis. LP. (Epic - BN 26511)

1970 album from Shuggie Otis (best known as son of Johnny Otis and writer of Strawberry Letter 23) made when he was just 15. Actually his second album, it is a mix of Hendrix-styled blues, swamp boogie and even a psychedelic groove produced by his father. Another in the long line of Epic's wonderful early 70s albums.
