Split Enz - Best Of. CD. (EMI - 356 6862)

Split Enz were a predecessor to Crowded House and possibly the first internationally famous rock band to originate from New Zealand- famous for their ridiculous haircuts and clothes as much as their fine music, which ranged from prog-inflected workouts in their early 70's days through new wave, power pop and eventually to AOR prior to their demise in the mid-80s. Their output, 15 tracks of which are collected here, featured the uniquely brilliant compositions of Neil and Tim Finn.
