Tim Buckley - Works In Progress. CD. (Rhino - RHM2 7705)

In the spring of 1968, Tim Buckley and band began a series of recording sessions for the follow-up to his 1967 album 'Goodbye And Hello'. Some of these session recordings ended up not being released. 'Works In Progress' is a 16-track collection of the surviving recordings from these 1968 studio sessions along with one survivor from a 1967 session. 20-page booklet with insightful liner notes by longtime Buckley guitarist/friend/biographer Lee Underwood as well as lyrics for all of the songs. Limited pressing only.

Tim Buckley - Tim Buckley / Goodbye And Hello. CD. (Elektra - 8122 73569 2)

First two albums from the golden voice released in 1966 and 1967 respectively. Both are minor classics the first being more folk/rock singer songwriter based whilst the second is epic, orchestrated and dreamlike. Tim's voice soars over eight octaves and the songs are filled with fantastical poetic images. Brilliant!

Tim Buckley - Lorca. LP. (Four Men With Beards - 4M146)

1970 release from the mighty Buckley who this time pushed the avant-garde barriers on the first side of the album. On the second side however the music harks back to his beautiful fusion of acid folk with some jazzy improvisations on the longer tracks.This album showed what versatile singer/songwriter the man was as is regarded by many as his best album. 180 gram vinyl.

Tim Buckley - Honeyman - Live 1973. CD. (Manifesto - MFO 40704)

From November 1973, this was originally recorded for a New York radio broadcast, and showcases work from Buckley's later period. Spectacularly charged, his voice is on fine form and the songs, from the often neglected late part of his career, cry out for re-evaulation.

One of the great vocalists and songwriters of the 1960s, Tim Buckley drew from folk, psychedelic rock, and progressive jazz to create a considerable body of adventurous work in his brief lifetime. Tim Buckley - Dream Letter - Live In London 1968. Dble LP. (Get Back - GET638)

Recorded in London's Queen Elizabeth Hall on July 10, 1968 this impressive 2-hour live concert presents the Washingtonian prodigy folk singer at his best. He was only 21 years old when he had this incredible chance to show the world his talent which would carry him through a short but prolific career - 9 albums released between 1966 and his death in 1975. Accompanied by Lee Underwood, David Friedman and Pentangle's bass player Danny Thompson, Buckley caressed his 12 string acoustic guitar in an unforgettable night documented on this double LP (gatefold sleeve) which included several unreleased songs being performed for the first time. This is the true beginning of a legend.

180 gram gatefold sleeve re-issue of the 1969 release that many regard as Tim's finest work. It was Tim Buckley's first self-produced record and also his debut for Herb Cohen and Frank Zappa's Straight label. Beautiful melodic, dreamy lonesome, heartbreaking songs are filled with vibes and shimmering guitar work and topped off by Tim's swooping, eight octave vocals. A fabulous album.

Tim Buckley - My Fleeting House. DVD. (Manifesto - MFO40707)

The first ever collection of rare videos and documentary footage that capture the man live on stage. Spanning his entire carer (67 - 74), these thirteen songs are from his various TV appearances and have been authorised by the estate of Buckley and Warners. Each track is placed in it's historical context by Buckley author David Browne who gives a brief explanation (yes, the DVD gives you the option of watching the video clips of Tim performing without any of the talking head bits). Included are unreleased performances on the Steve Allen show from 69 and WITF'S The Show from 1970. Extras include interviews with Buckley co writer Larry Beckett and guitarist Lee Underwood. Twelve page booklet includes general info on the recording of each song. A cracking compilation of clips, the sound options are 5.1 or stereo and the visuals are from the best possible sources and in the best possible taste.

Tim Buckley - Starsailor. LP.

180 gram vinyl re-issue of the album originally released in 1970, Starsailor is the most unique and uncompromising release of Tim Buckley's brief but productive career. Combining jazz and avant-garde elements with folk-rock and Buckley's acrobatic vocal performances this album is one of the most experimental singer-songwriter records of all time. Though it was a commercial failure at the time of its release Starsailor has since become a sought after cult classic.
