Toad - Open Fire. CD. (Akarma - AK329)

A previously unreleased live album that captures the full energy of this much loved 70s rock band. Emotions are high thanks to their choice of tracks and excellent live rendition. Vic Vergeat is a force to be reckoned with. He's like Alvin Lee on speed with all the power of a young Angus Young, while the rhythm section is no less than devastating. The set opens with "Tomorrow Blue", the celebrated title track from their second album, and continues with "Thoughts" and "Pig's Walk", a true guitar orgy. This is mellow blues that never loses momentum. Also includes a tribute to the legend Jimi Hendrix with "Red House" and "Who Knows". Track listing 1. Tomorrow Blue 2. Thoughts 3. Unknown 4. Pig’sWalk 5. Red House 6. Who Knows

Toad - Dreams. CD. (Akarma - AK083-3CD)

After the release of "Tomorrow Blue", we had to wait ’til 1975 for Toad’s third album and unfortunately their last. Originally released on Frog, "Dreams" is a very good album that never got the attention it deserved, and what was supposed to be their best seller, turned out being their swan song. Inspired hard rock in the vein of Led Zeppelin & Deep Purple. Vic Vergeat and his trio were a force to be reckoned with! Hearing is believing! Includes a great cover version of Hendrix’s "Purple Haze". Track listing: 1. Keep on Movin' 2. Dreams 3. Let's Get Hi 4. Electric Rider 5. Because You're Not 6. You Know Who I Am 7. Boogin' on a Saturday Night 8. Break Down 9. Purple Haze 10. Making You Feel Alright
