Undertones - S/T. LP.

The Undertones’ 1979 debut LP has often been called Ireland’s most sublime piece of pop-punk ever, thanks to straight-as-an-arrow pop melodies and Feargal Sharkey’s quivering vocals. And unlike many of their peers, the Undertones did not need fashion or politics to grab the people’s attention, especially not when they had DJ John Peel as their number 1 fan. In fact, Peel still refers to their 1977 "Teenage Kicks" EP as his favourite record of all time! Includes special insert + hidden track! Original artwork.

Undertones - Positive Touch. CD. (Essential - ESMCD853)

The third massive missive from the chaps, by 1981 the band had developed quickly from masters of punk pop fizz bomb into crafted tunesmiths who were at home in the studio. Combining aching melodicism ("Julie Ocean") with the brass-driven "It's Going To Happen" this album is an under-rated classic. With five bonus tracks.
