Always a bit further out than the Temptations, this album (their second) is a leap forward from the self -titled debut of the previous year. Features a nine minute plus version of Marvin's "Whats Goin On". Psychedelic funk for fans of Sly and Funkadelic/Parliament. Beautiful gatefold sleeve.

In the tradition of Parliament / Funkadelic with the awesome biting commentary of "Smiling Faces Sometimes" and the creative juices were really flowing on "Ball of Confusion," which bounces along for more than ten minutes in the style of the Chamber Brother psyche outs!
