Vain - No Respect. CD. (Gott Records - GOTTCD018) Originally released in 1989 on Island, this is the debut CD from the Californian heavy metal band Vain, and it kicks arse!! Vain along with bands like Jetboy and the Sea Hags helped solidify the San Francisco Bay area metal sound. Their style? Call it Hair/Glam/Sleaze it's up to you, their contempories included Metallica, Exodus and Death Angel (who Davy Vain produced). This is rock with a capital r, o, c and k. They should have been famous but, sadly, they weren't and now original copies of the album command hundreds of pounds on everyone's favourite virtual market place. One of the most unfairly underrated and ignored albums of the 80s, get in on it before it's gone again.
