Van Dyke Parks - Discover America. LP. 1972 album from Van Dyke Parks (Beach Boys, Harpers Bizarre) features an amazing blend of 40s Trinidadian music with contemporary American styles. Features "FDR In Trinidad", "Bing Crosby" and many others, this landmark album recalls all the elements of a Hemingway novel done with the usual panache of a Van Dyke Parks creation. Backing music is supplied by Little Feat and Tom Scott amongst others. Now issued on 180 gram vinyl.
