On this the bands six-track debut from 2000, the L.A. band seems to exist in a kind of opiated haze, redolent of Spacemen 3, a heavier Velvet Underground,etc. This is a record on which guitars are layered to mesmerizing effect,check out the 12-minute "Jam of the Warlocks" where the song builds and builds into a tremendous climax.

Tee Pee Records recently signed the L.A. scuzz rockers with no idea who was in the current line-up, no current band images. Always shrouded in mystery and dressed in black, this once octet known for their signature sound and live shows, compared a million times to the Velvet Underground’s exploding plastic inevitable have made a habit of doing the unexpected. The new stripped down line up recorded this new album in a matter of weeks with the help of their first producer Rod Cervera.
