Whispers - The Whispers/Happy Holidays To You. Dble CD. (Castle - CMRDD511) When ‘And The Beat Goes On’ topped the US R&B charts in 1979, it established the Whispers as the hottest new talents on the soul scene. The group’s eponymous album that year featured two other smash hits, and it’s now available with extra single mixes – and an entire bonus album of Christmas favourites from 1987.

Whispers - Planets Of Life (The Soul Clock Recordings). CD. (Castle - CMRCD424) For the first time on CD, this set brings together their entire output for the Soul Clock label, which has rarely been heard outside the US. It’s hinged around their original 1969 album, which featured their smash hit ‘Seems Like I Gotta Do Wrong’, and also features two non-LP singles.

Whispers - So Good/Just Gets Better With Time. CD. (Castle - CMRCD573) The slinky disco soul sound of Los Angeles kept the dancefloors filled through the mid-80s with these two Solar albums, repackaged with expert liner notes by Ralph Tee. So Good spawned the hit single ‘Some Kinda Lover’ in 1984, while three years later a new collaboration with Babyface and L.A. Reid yielded the classic ‘Rock Steady’.

Whispers - One For The Money / Open Up Your Love. CD. (Castle - CMRCD499) First ever UK release for their two mid seventies albums, remastered and repackaged. US soul, disco and R 'n' B.... dig out those hot pants

Whispers - Love Is Where You Find It/Love For Love. CD. (Castle - CMRCD551) Another two-on-one set from the borderline of sweet soul and disco brings together albums from 1981 and 1983, the latter appearing on CD in Europe for the first time. Amongst the Solar hits on this package are ‘In The Raw’, ‘Emergency’ and ‘Tonight’.

Whispers - Imagination/This Kind Of Lovin'. CD. (Castle - CMRCD528) When the first single from 1981's Imagination LP gave the Whispers their third smash hit in a row, the soft soul kings were established as one of the hottest acts on the US dancefloor scene. This two-on-one set also features 1982's This Kind Of Lovin', wrapping up three hit singles along the way.

Whispers - Headlights/Whisper In Your Ear. CD. (Castle - CMRCD437) The Whispers had been thrilling fans of sweet soul for almost two decades by the time they arrived at Solar in 1978. They proved that the Los Angeles label was their natural home by issuing these two magnificent albums in quick succession, each chock-full of luscious ballads and superb harmonies.

Whispers - Bingo 1972-74. Dble CD. (Castle - CMDDD480) The Whispers complete recordings for the Janus label receive their fist airing on CD. This collection includes 3 albums,rare non LP tracks on a 2CD package that has original artwork and detailed sleevenotes.This is an an excellent collection of harmony based ballad heavy soul like the Moments and the Trammps.

Whispers - Best Of The Whispers. CD. (Castle - CMRCD037) The Whispers' 'And The Beat Goes On' (1980) was reworked to great effect as the basis for Will Smith's mega hit 'Miami'. But sod him, let's talk about some real musicians!! The original, still a classic, appears on this introductory 'Best Of' which includes all the group's major hits like 'It's A Love Thing' 'Lady' and 'My Girl'.

Whispers - And The Beat Goes On. Dble CD. (Sequel - NEECD331) When Will Smith borrowed the chorus from 'And The Beat Goes On' he reintroduced the music of the LA soul veterans The Whispers to a whole new audience. This new 2-CD set concentrates on their uptempo recordings from the early 70s to the late 80s.

Whispers - 30th Anniversary Anthology. Dble CD. (Sequel - NEDCD267) Sequel marked 30 years of the LA disco/soul favourites with this 2-CD retrospective which gathered up all their hits for Soul Train and Solar, including their chart-topping 'And The Beat Goes On' and 'Rock Steady' - the latter penned and produced by the dynamic duo of L.A. Reid and Babyface.
