The Zombies were not like any other bands of the time however and their R 'n' B was tinged with a cool jazzy vibe most evident on their biggest hit "She's Not There" (included herein) With 22 tracks, improved sound and detailed notes this is the definitive edition of the bands first release.

Zombies - The Story. CD + CDRom. (EMI - 760160) 20 track compilation of this excellent UK outfit which contains no filler and pretty much every one's a winner. For those entranced with the catchy yet melancholic British Invasion sounds of the Hollies and the Pretty Things in the mid-'60s or Badfinger in the late '60s/early '70s, at least one Zombies release is a must. This package with it's bonus CD-Rom with biog, photo gallery and discography is a must.

Zombies - Time Of The Season: Zombies Collector's Guide. Book. (Crossfire Publications - ISBN 0-9648157-) Once again, Greg has produced another fully authorised book - all five Zombies contributed enthusiastically to this new tome. Fans will rave over Greg's history of the band, their songs and their solo careers. The most complete and accurate history of The Zombies, including their individual careers within the music industry. The creative process involved with each of their recordings is laid out in great detail, and also included are complete discographies. It doesn't get any better than this! Softback, 96 pages, 71 illustrations.

Zombies - Time Of The Season. CD EP. Two track CD single of the famous track, one of the standouts on the summery pop psych classic Odessey & Oracle album. Having been used on various adverts and films over the years, it has found a new audience and the demand for a single re-release is high. Written by keyboard player Rod Argent and recorded at Abbey Road Studios in August 1967 it was first released in 69 after the group had split and various other 45s from the album had failed to set the world on fire. Here it is backed by "This Will Be Our Year."

Zombies - Odessey & Oracle (Mini Card Sleeve). CD. Cardboard sleeve edition of the classic '60's release, largely ignored upon it's initial release. Slowly over the decades it has achieved the recognition it deserves, now being placed amongst the very greatest of '60's album releases. Now finding a new audience through adverts. The sleeve is a facsimile of the original LP, all tracks are presented in a stereo format except "This Will Be Our Year." Cheers!

Zombies - Into The Afterlife. CD. (Big Beat - CDWIKD 266) This twenty track compilation is effectively what the Zombies did next after splitting in 1968. Throughout 1968 Chris and Rod demoed their new material with an embryonic version of what would become the group Argent. Colin Blunstone under the name of Neil MacArthur, made three excellent singles including a revamp of ‘She’s Not There’ that hit the UK Top 40 in 1969. These tracks and the Argent demos are included here; the disc also contains special mixes of Zombies material that showcase the orchestral overdubs that were added for their aborted RIP project, plus a rare vintage live cut. Half of the material has never been released before now, almost all of it has never graced a CD either. An excellent book end to a brilliant career.
