T- Rex - Bolan's Zipgun. CD. (Repertoire Records - REP4846) Bolan's 1975 album - the first to not mention T Rex on the cover - showed a growing sense of maturity and sophistication as the human chameleon that was Marc Bolan attempted to establish his musical credentials beyond the hordes of screaming teeny boppers that had made him famous. Here he flirts with blues, doo-wop and soul although still retaining certain elements of his metallic boogie hitmaking appeal. Two bonus tracks also included.
