Latest additions & updates to our catalogue:
Fripp & Eno - Unreleased Works Of Startling Genius. Dble CD. A series of musical snapshots, ideas, tunes, pieces, covering a period of several years. Selected by Brian Eno, most are issued here for the first time on CD. The musical content is as varied in mood as one might expect from such disparate time periods. The unifyingfactor, that which makes this series of recordings so compelling, is the sense that comes across of the duo’s own continued fascination & delight in finding new ways of exploring & presenting their shared musical adventures. The initial manufacturing run of the album will be issued as a limited edition 2CD digi pack set showcasing the music in different ways. CD1 offers the first 12 pieces in segued form with only track 13 (regarded by both musicians as one of Fripp’s finest recorded performances) separate, while CD 2 offers the 13 pieces individually. When the initial run is exhausted; a single CD of the music as presented on CD1 will become the standard release edition. | M83 - Digital Shades Vol 1. CD. Originally recorded in 2006, Digital Shades Vol. 1 marks the beginning of a new period of activity for Ambient electro rock group M83 (originally a duo but now an Anthony Gonzalez solo project). Recorded primarily at his home studio with the assistance of Antoine Gaillet, Gonzalez decided to unleash his inner Krautrock / Eno obsessions with this ten track album. Originally intended as a download only album,it's now available for a short period of time.Very similar to early Cluster albums. |
M83 - Digital Shades Vol 1. LP. Originally intended as a download only album, there is an extremely limited CD pressing that won't be available for long. | Tangerine Dream - DM 2.1. CD. The first ever compilation of the Dream Mixes series by Tangerine Dream, featuring ten tracks from DM 1 & 2 selected by Jerome Froese as well as two previously unavailable songs and liner notes by Jerome Froese. Continuum - Volume 2. CD. Multi-talented and eclectic musician Steven Wilson (P.T, Bass Communion,Blackfield) and internationally renowned experimental artist Vidna Obmana have joined together to bring you Vol 2 - limited edition again like Vol 1. Each CD is presented in a beautiful oversized digipack with breathtaking design and artwork by Lasse Hoile. The new album again has three long pieces, but breaks from its predecessor by enriching its electronic soundscapes with a variety of electric guitars. The album defies easy categorization as it willfully and relentlessly crosses boundaries and genres, breaking every rule it meets and tearing down fences and expectations along the way.Last few copies with the post card set and deluxe packaging. Bear in mind, volume one is now deleted. | Astralasia - Cluster Of Waves. CD. Cluster of Waves is the latest album from Astralasia and features eight previously unreleased tracks. he album also features performances from amongst others, founder member Swordfish alongside Pete Praconwik Steve B and a guest appearance from former Hawkwind and David Bowie band member Simon House who plays violin. Eight tracks in all, including: "Cluster of Waves at the Devilles Bridge", "Ashra Rising" and "Til Morning Comes." |
Orbital - Live At Glastonbury 1994 - 2004. Dble CD + DVD. Effectively a live best of, this double CD, 1 DVD set features a selection of tracks from their five era defining appearances at the world famous festival. Their first appearnce has recently been voted as one of the best ever gigs; their stunning, euphoric performances stretched the possibilities of what a ‘dance’ act was capable of bringing to the live arena-both visually and sonically- and providing the defining moment for several hundred thousand people’s midsummer weekends. | Klaus Schulze - Trance Appeal. CD. 1996 album, originally released under the ‘Klaus Schulze’s Wahnfried’ project name and quite possibly the best of the series. Although still in the style of classic Schulze, it is very much a collaborative effort. The tracks are notably much shorter compositions than you would expect from Klaus, the number of songs on this album reaching double figures when most of us would expect no more than four. Includes the bonus track "Marooned." |
Orb - Orbsessions Volume Two. CD. This is the glorious second volume of unreleased Orb treasures. The master of ambient, Alex Paterson was one of the major players in defining the genre and has inspired countless artists and club goers with The Orb's revolutionary sounds. This time around, it features collaborations with legendary German composer Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Thomas Fehlmann, Andy Hughes, Vincent "vin100" Crane and Alex's long-standing friend and musical accomplice Youth. | Klaus Schulze - Blackdance. CD. Recorded in Berlin and first released in 1974, this early Klaus album finds the keyboard maestro growing quickly in sophistication as a player and his understanding of electronics themselves. This was a notable departure in his sound up to this point with baroque touches adding to the eerie mix. He really was one of the few musicians of the era who could get a soulful recording out of the early synths he was working with. The only other muscican present on the three tracks is Ernst Sieman who contributes vocals to "Voices Of Syn" and bass throughout. This digi re-release features two bonus tracks: the 10 minute "Foreplay" and the 14 minutes "Sunthies Have No Balls." |
Throbbing Gristle - Part Two - The Endless Knot (with Totemic Object). CD. The first studio album by the Gristle that Throbs since 1980's Heathen Earth. The founders of the industrial music genre and the original art terrorists return here with eleven new tracks. Initial pressings of the CD will come with a random totemic object: made from either copper, bone, wood or rubber (one thousand of each object have been made under the watchful eye of Peter Christopherson). | Throbbing Gristle - Part Two - The Endless Not. Dble LP. The first studio album by the Gristle that Throbs since 1980's Heathen Earth. The founders of the industrial music genre and the original art terrorists return here with eleven new tracks. Limited edition gatefold release. |
Radiohead - Airbag / How Am I Driving?. CD EP. Originally released in the US off the back of OK Computer, this seven track EP makes a return. Similar in style to the recent COM LAG album, it is a compilation of the b-sides released by the group in 1997, a number of the tracks became live favourites and were much sort after in territories where the material wasn't freely available and among the more hardcore fans out there. An interesting collection as it previews the very early experiments in electronica the band were working with, sounds that would eventually become Kid A.Track listing: "Airbag", "Pearly", "Meeting In The Aisle", "Reminder", "Polythene", "Melatonin" and "Palo Alto". | Nigel Mazlyn Jones - Planet For $ale. CD. A new direction for Nigel Mazlyn Jones in 2007, this is his first album to feature heavier music and some interesting remixes. Fans of his acoustic playing who have seen him play in a band format will not be too shocked, others maybe!.The music on this disc was made with help from friends from other music genres who heard sections of the developing album and got involved creating re-mixes drawn from the vast array of NMJ's recordings and original samples. Re-mixes by Steve Hillage , Banco de Gaia and The Doc.The album itself features Guy Evans of Van Der Graaf Generator, Carla Vallett, Steve Jolliffe, (Steamhammer/Tangerine Dream) Phil Beer, Margaret Phillips and Bliss. Tasteful art work in the booklet by Pete Loveday. In keeping with the albums ecological theme a chunk of the profit goes to ecological charities so why not enjoy some great music and help a good cause. |
