Click for large image A must for any avid Blur fan, This DVD not only features some of the best Blur performances caught on tape from 1991 onwards, but also includes one of their first ever gigs. Considering the age of most of the footage, the quality is top notch. This DVD also features hidden tracks and Easter eggs. Tracks Include: 'Sunday Sunday', 'Coping', 'Chemical World', 'Advert', and 'Commercial Break'.

Blur - Think Tank. CD.
(Label: Parlophone Records, Cat.No: 5829972)

Click for large image 7th studio album from the true kings of Britpop. This album was procuced by Mr. Fat Boy Slim, and is their first studio album they recorded without their guitarist 'Graham Coxon'. This is a fair attempt to reproduce the spark that was evident in the times of "Song 2 " and "Beetlebum". Tracks include: "Moroccan Peoples Revolutionary Bowls Club", "On The Way To The Club ", "Battery In Your Leg".

Ian Dury - Essex Boy: An Introduction To. CD.
(Label: Demon / Edsel, Cat.No: MCCD 608)

Click for large image Sixteen track collection of the best loved Ian Dury and The Blockheads songs. Having become a national treasure since his untimely death, these sort of bargain albums are neccesary to educate the new generation of potential fans and to celebrate his achievements. Includes singles, albums tracks and great live versions of his most familiar hits. Featuring: "What A Waste", "There Ain't Half Been Some Clever Bastards (live)", "Spasticus Autisticus (live)" and "Sweet Gene Vincent."

Blur - Blur. CD.
(Label: Parlophone Records, Cat.No: FOODCD19)

Click for large image This 1997 release finds Blur embracing the weirder/darker side of their songwriting and arrangement. This was their desperate attempt to escape the Brit Pop scene that was quickly turning sour. From the opening two singles: "Beetlebum" and the punky hit "Song 2", it was clear that this was no "Country House" mark two. Guitarist Graham Coxons role in the group seems to grow, his jutting guitar riff and sound effects on "On Your Own" and the first Blur track not to have songwriting credits to all four members "You're So Great " are particular highlights.

Blur - Great Excape. CD.
(Label: Parlophone Records, Cat.No: FOODCD14)

Click for large image Their last entry in the Brit Pop boom of 1995, this finds them lyrically wandering into darker territories. Commenting upon the pressures of fitting into the modern society and that constant need for release (hence the title), it is surprising how upbeat and catchy they have made this album. On first listen it can seem quite lightweight until the shiny production gloss wears to reveal the misery of a "Big Brother" future ("The Universal"), the wearying repetition of the commuters routine ("Ernold Same") and the struggles of trying to be an individual despite the pressures of suburbia ("Stereotypes.") A fine album that hints at their darker future work while still regaining their early Brit Pop excitement.

Blur - Leisure. CD.
(Label: Parlophone Records, Cat.No: CDP7975062)

Click for large image Debut album from the future Brit Poppers, first released in 1991. Already experimenting in trippy psychedelia, this is essentially a baggy, shoegazing album unlike any of the other Blur albums. Yet to find his lyrical feet (or Ray Davies' feet for that matter), this is an album indebted to the very recent Madchester scene. Fascinating to see how they developed from these very humble, innocent beginnings into something so much more. Includes: "She's So High", "Come Together" and "There's No Other Way."
