Chairmen Of The Board - Give Me Just A Little More Time. CD. (Label: Castle Pie, Cat.No: PIESD266) Formed in the late 60s in Detroit, Chairmen Of The Board were a soul outfit using vocal harmonies and catchy funky melodies. Their first single "Give Me Just A Little More Time" was an instant hit and established the group as one of the most important soul acts of the early 70s. Lead singer (and main songwriter) General Norman Johnson's instantly recognisable high register, trembling vocals gave them an identity all of their own. Tom Waits - Asylum Years. CD. (Label: Warner Music, Cat.No: 7559-60494-2) A selection of recordings made for the Asylum label in the 70's by one of America's finest song writers. Here is some Tom's best material 'Diamonds On My Windshield', 'Martha', 'Small Change' and 'Ruby's Arms'. Distinctive, evocative and emotional are the by-words for these songs. Hard to pigeon hole somewhere between blues, folk, country and poetry.	Simon And Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water. CD. (Label: Sony Music, Cat.No: COL 495084-2) Released in Jan' 1970 this was the duo's fifth and final album. Probably one of the best folk albums ever. On release it spent 10 weeks at number 1 in the US, spawned four top ten singles and then won a Grammy for album of the year. A message of hope, eloquence and towering beauty. Classics include 'Bridge Over Troubled Water', 'The Boxer', 'Keep The Customer Satisfied', 'Baby Driver' and 'Why Don’t You Write Me. Remastered with extra tracks, new liner notes, plus rare photos.
