God In The Garage - Various. CD.
(Label: , Cat.No: GT1503)

Click for large image Compilation of 1960’s Christian garage music! Here you’ll find the mega-rare USA Click Kids album, a couple of weird tracks by Peruvian group Delai Alamos, and even a Panamian "Go-go Mass"!!! As weird as can be. Comes with linernotes, sound is not remastered. Comes with linernotes

R.F.D. - Lead Me Home. CD.
(Label: Bella Terra, Cat.No: BTR18)

Click for large image Exact miniature repro of the orginal weird and eerie sleeve as released in 1971. 24 bit digital re-mastered, limited edition 600 copies. Obscure Christian folkrock album with an appealing, understated feel. Close male/female vocal harmonies and ringing guitars create a secular late 60's California sound, with strong songwriting that reaches back to a Byrds/Simon & Garfunkel hook sensebility. The intimate low-key vocals and summery mystique also reminds a bit of These Trails.

Chakra - Chakra. CD.
(Label: GDR, Cat.No: GDRCD0701)

Click for large image Chakra where a progressive US-band with only one LP release in 1979. This record is nearly impossible to find and in case it's pretty expensive. While lyrics mainly refer to very religious,Christian themes, the music is excellent prog-rock somewhere in-between Rush and Yes. The only reason why this record has not become a US prog-rock classic is because of its scarce availability. Thus will not change, as only 777 copies have been pressed, so get it as long as you can!! all CD's are housed in 1:1 LP sleeves with faithful reproductions ofthe original artwork

Quintessence - In Blissful Company. LP.
(Label: Tapestry Records, Cat.No: TPT237)

Click for large image 180 gram thick card gatefold vinyl version (with large booklet insert) of the debut 1969 album from UK hippy collective Quintessence. Recorded just a few weeks after their formation, it's a great mix of rock, jazz and eastern jams. The band were mainly attracted to Hinduism, but they also made references to Buddhism and Christianity in some of their mystical psychedelic songs. Regarded by many as one of the key underground community bands of the era along with Hawkwind and The Pink Fairies they were cornerstones of the Ladbroke Grove scene.LAST 4 COPIES OF THIS VINYL PRESSING.

Jeremy Spencer - & The Children Of God. CD.
(Label: footprint, Cat.No: FPR 29005)

Click for large image Originally released in 1972 this is digitally remastered. This is an album by the member of Fleetwood Mac (1967-71). Released in 1972 this was his second solo album made up of members of the Children of God organisation. After leaving (left behind) by Fleetwood Mac while on tour in the United States in February 1971, Spencer joined the Children of God and has remained with the organisation ever since. The band toured in the US and released a single Can You Hear The Song / The World In Her Heart to accompany this album. The lyrics were heavily religious, with references to the love of God, finding purpose in life within Christianity, along with anti-war themes and apocalypticism.Although this was the first recording for which Spencer dropped his mimicry and parody of 1950s music and Elmore James blues tunes, he nevertheless continued to show his talent for drawing inspiration from other styles of music. Influences from many contemporary sources can be heard, such as The Byrds, The Beatles, Jefferson Airplane and Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Trees (U.S.) - Christ Tree 4 CD Set. 4-CD Set.
(Label: Hand / Eye, Cat.No: HE 15)

Click for large image Not to be confused with the British folkrockers, this Christian collective/community is responsible for one of the most amazing US psych-folk albums ever. ‘The Christ Tree’ LP was recorded in the mid-70’s and offers an unbelievable celebration of spirituality, beauty, love and life. Listening to these extremely druggy atmospheres, hypnotizing rhythms and mesmerising melodies you’ll find it hard to believe that this is a religious piece of work. (Until’ some of the lyrics that is...) Nevertheless, The Trees were at least as ‘high on The Lord’ as that other legend of xian psychedelia, The Search Party. Hand-Eye come up with an incredible collection of 4 CD’s,(artwork that folds out like a cross. ) containing the original album plus three discs of never before released material, dating from the 70’s. Wholeheartedly recommended to fans of the mystical sounds of f.i. Extradition, Book Of Am and -of course- The Search Party!Liner notes by David Tibet.- Very limited.

Our Generation - Praise & Parayer. LP.
(Label: NOM DE PLUME, Cat.No: NDP1)

Click for large image Limited pressing of 250, this rare Christian psych re-issue features heavy fuzz guitar, beautiful harmonizing vocals on both original and cover songs. This is the real deal in terms of the message. Pressed onto sturdy vinyl, this will be a collector's gem. "Some of the greatness of this album is that it flows fluently in between more heavy fuzz driven garage and delicate inspired folk psych hymns. All is of course inspired by Jesus-is-our-saviour experiences, all with a very convincing honesty in expressions and inspirations" (Gerald Van Waes/Psyche van het Folk). Silk-screened cover. Order fast!

Stained Glass Window - Stained Glass Window. CD.
(Label: Radioactive, Cat.No: RRCD175)

Click for large image Soothing ,comforting album from 1975 by the U.S. singer songwriter Bob Raine, originally on small Chicago private label called Sycamore.Written completely by Bob this album shows his feelings of love, spirit, and the spoken words left behind as guides for us through these and future times. Two years in the making this album has so much warmth and feeling flowing from the grooves.Check out the opening cut "To The Night Sky From A Summers Meadow" and you will be hooked into this guys voice and gentle guitar picked melodies, while "The Man With The Buttons" hints at Neil Young’s "Sugar Mountain" and "After All Has Been Drawn" hints at Zeppelin’s "Misty Mountain Hop". We cannot recommend this album highly enough. Every track is strong. It is well conceived and performed and there is enough diversity to keep interest throughout.

Neal Morse - Cover To Cover. CD.
(Label: Inside Out, Cat.No: SPV79152)

Click for large image One of the most astounding songwriters and multi-intsrumentalists in contemporary progressive music, formerly of Spock's Beard. Compiling thirteen cover versions recorded during the sessions for his three solo albums, this fine collection contains seven previously unreleased songs. Neal's taste is impeccable, including covers of Badfinger, George Harrison (The Beatles connection looms large on this album), Cat Stevens, U2, The Who and David Bowie. Features numerous backing support, including regulars Randy George and Dream Theatre drummer Mike Portney. Features: "What Is Life", "Badge", "Tuesday Afternoon" and "Rock And Roll Suicide."

Trees (U.S.) - Christ Tree 11th June 2007 Release.. CD.
(Label: Hand / Eye, Cat.No: HE30CD)

Click for large image Originally released in 1975 as a private pressing on the Pomegranite Records label and was conceived and performed by the Trees Community from NYC this gem was their only vinyl output and now finally has its first outing on CD. Quite extraordinary religious progressive folk album that moves across time and space in a C.O.B-like manner yet never misses the beat. Dominated by three extended mindblowers that bring in deep Search Party brooding, Indian and Japanese instruments, advanced choral experiments, bells, gongs, hippie commune vibes, you name it; the shorter tracks are less eclectic and more traditionally catholic-liturgical. The constant motion from a good idea to an even better idea is reminiscent of the first Perth County Conspiracy album, if you imagine that one being about Christ instead of Shakespeare. A deeply spiritual feel emerges, yet the massive influx of ideas spells pure spiritual psychedelia for deep thinking seekers. On the IQ scale this one's way up there. Recommended to fans of Search Party, Extradition, Book Of Am and similar monastery head-trips. Anyone who loves this record will be pleased to know that a lavish limited edition multi-CD set is due for release later in 2006 and it will include numerous outtakes together with unreleased studio performances and live recordings. A detailed booklet will feature previously unseen photos and also sleeve notes by David Tibet!.Now a sadly deleted Radioactive title.LAST 2 COPIES.

Bruce Cockburn - Speechless. CD.
(Label: Cooking Vinyl, Cat.No: COOKCD355)

Click for large image All-instrumental album form this noted and highly respected Canadian singer/songwriter, guitarist and political activist, concentrating largely on his acoustic guitar playing (which has been often ignored before) . Some tracks have been recorded previously in other formats; some are brand new.

Neal Morse - ?. CD.
(Label: Inside Out, Cat.No: SPV08548622)

Click for large image Third solo album from former focal point of Spock's Beard, one of the most astounding songwriters and multi-intsrumentalists in contemporary progressive music. OK, he may be a heavy duty bible-thumper ('The Temple Of The Living God' 'The Glory Of The Lord' 'Inside His Presence' 'Deliverance') but that never stopped Kings X, Jon Anderson, Arthur Brown or David Tibet from making great albums!! Just as long as he doesn't make a Christmas record setting a psalm to the tune of 'Oh Say Can You See' I think we're alright.

After The Fire - Live At Greenbelt. DVD.
(Label: Quantum Leap, Cat.No: NJPDVD623)

Click for large image One of those bands that were never easy to classify, ATF (as they were known), led by keyboardist Peter 'Memory' Banks, started as a widdly prog band in the early 70s, before moving into slightly poppier, more synth-pop infused waters in the New Wave era and actually scoring a couple of hit singles. Despite never singing about religious topics per se, they ssem to have always had a link to Christian- organised festivals, having performed at the first Greenbelt in 1979. 25 years later in 2004 they came back again: this 'warts and all' DVD, originally released as a private record, includes their best known tunes 'One Rule For You' 'Laser Love' 'Der Kommissar' and 'Gina', plus a radio interview, an unplugged section, and a photo slide show. Region free PAL disc.

King's X - Ogre Tones. CD.
(Label: Inside Out, Cat.No: SPV08548512)

Click for large image The eleventh album by the Texan psychedelic-prog-AOR-metal (that's as close as one can get, they really are unclassifiable) power trio who, although they never broke through to the level journalists predicted (probably because their colleagues were all too busy writing about Sebastian Bach and Axl Rose every week) have remained one of the most respected bands on the hard rock scene, with the kind of following that would crawl across broken glass for them. Doug Pinnick,Ty Tabor and Jerry Gaskill are three of the finest musicians to have ever been captured on vinyl, and on this release, their first studio album for over three years, they show no sign of letting up!! Hailed by fans as maybe their best work since the unsurpassable 'Gretchen Goes To Nebraska' and 'Faith Hope Love' albums, this retains their classic Beatles/ Rush/ Hendrix/ Queen-influenced metal style whilst progressing even further down their own unique path.
