A fine introduction to his career that covers his initial success in the 50's and his greater body of work that became popular after his fatal accident in 1964. These studio recordings represent the best album and 45 tracks the country crooner released, including: "I Love You Because", "It Hurt's So Much To See You", " Adios Amigo" and "I Guess I'm Crazy."
Johnny Tillotson - Sings/Here I Am. CD. (Label: Ace Fu, Cat.No: CDCHD 1162) Making their debut on CD, these are Johnny's fourth and sixth albums on the MGM label, released in the rise of Beatlemania. Features tracks written by Paul Evans, P.F. Sloan, Wayne Carson Thomspon and Howard Greenfield & Jack Keller, this another top draw set of Countrified Pop songs by a consistantly popular artist who continued his chart residency despite the British invasion and the evolving Beat scene of the early 60's. Classy mid 60s American pop, mastered directly from Johnny’s own original mastertapes.	John Fahey - Railroad 1. CD. (Label: Takoma, Cat.No: CDTAK 7102) 1983 release by the ultra fine guitarist. Unavailable on CD since the early 90s, it has never had it's correct sleeve until now. Considered by many a critic as one of his most important albums ever, the inclusion of the 1 after the title was a decision taken by the record company and suggested at the time that this was to be a series of releases. This was all news to Fahey himself as it was only ever intended as a one off release.

The subtirttle Rural Royalty is warranted here, this thirty three track compendium features the cream of Country, Honkytonk abd Hillbilly boogie: Don Gibson, Corky Jones, Glenn Barber, Ernest Tubbs, George Hamilton IV, Rose Maddox and many more. Many of these tracks are making their CD debut and have been remastered. Includes: "Just Ramblin' On", "Catty Town", "Sugar Sweet" and "Rhythm And Booze."	Johnny Cash - Greatest / Now Here's Johnny. CD. (Label: Snapper, Cat.No: SNAP284CD) Two original Sun album on one CD, dating from 1959 and '61. This two fer features four bonus tracks from the era. Greatest came out after Cash had left the label and Sun cashed in by pulling together some ignored tracks and a few biggy singles alongside demos and alternative versions. Greatest certainly deserves it's title, Cash's third Sun album is drenched in the glorious reverb you would expect (and hope for) and features the man in blacks passionate renditions of Hank Williams numbers and some other Cowboy crooners.
Billy Swan - Rock On Wiith The Rhythm. CD. (Label: Rev Ola Bandstand, Cat.No: RETRO 814) This country / rockabilly artist had a long and industrious career that began in the 60's and peaked commercially with his hit "I Can Help" in 1974. This twenty four track collection includes moments from his days with Kris Kristofferson and Tony Joe White in the 60's, his years with Monument Records amongst the Nashville underground scene and right up to the modern day Elvis tribute tracks he has recorded this century. This release was compiled by Swan to tie in with his tour with former Elvis guitarist James Burton and features tracks currently unavailable elsewhere.	Flying Burrito Brothers - Gilded Palace Of Sin. LP. (Label: , Cat.No: 4MLP 135) 180 gram vinyl re-issue of the much praised 1969 album, The Gilded Palace Of Sin is the debut release from one of the most influential country-rock outfits of all time. Helmed by the legendary Gram Parsons with help from ex-Byrd Chris Hillman and L.A. pedal steel maverick "Sneaky" Pete Kleinow, The Burritos' debut features "Sin City" (later covered by Parsons compatriot Emmylou Harris), "Wheels," "Christine's Tune" and other classics. Forget your Eagles and your Poco, this is the real L.A. country-rock, or as Gram himself called it, "Cosmic American Music."

(Label: Blue Rose, Cat.No: BLUCD0417) New album from Dan Stuart and Steve Wynn under the pseudonym of Danny & Dusty. They first took a break from their day job bands Green On Red and The Dream Syndicate twenty years ago to create the beer soaked Americana classic Lost Weekend. It achieved legendary status among the followers of the paisley underground and this is it's unexpected follow up. After two decades of requests from fans, finally they have conceeded and made a new album with the same line up.

This tied up with his fascination with American literature perhaps best explains his cerebral but concise lyrical abilities. This is a two fer one, bringing together a duo of albums from '72. Arguably an early peak in his career, they are remastered and reissued for the first time on CD here.
