Alzo & Udine - C'mon & Join Us. CD.
(Label: Rev Ola, Cat.No: CRREV218)

Click for large image This album's almost impossible to describe accurately, like Mortimerwith a brown-eyed soul latin twist, The groove has a tight jangly feel, with nice lows, very catchyhooks, and amazing vocals from Alzo & Udine that kind of feel like Mel & Tim mixed with Joe Bataan mixed with The Young Rascals mixed with Jose Feliciano -- if you need a comparison! A must for everyone! If you enjoyed Mortimer, come on down! if you'd prefer that with a bit of Latinsoul, why certainly!

Gary Wright - Human Love. CD.
(Label: Evangeline, Cat.No: ACAM8151)

Click for large image 2000 album by the former Spooky Tooth keyboardist. As with most of his later releases, the singer songwriter has embraced a very mellow, refective vibe and incorporates elements of eastern instrumentation. Unavailable fro Special guests on this ten tracker include Jeff Lynn and L Shankar.

Pure Prairie League - Live In America. CD.
(Label: The Store For Music Ltd, Cat.No: SFMCD072)

Click for large image Live concert recording during 1978, ten years into their career. Their intelligent and emotionally genuine country rock clearly had by this time began to earn them some commercial recognition by this point, despite numerous line up changes (something that would continue for the next ten years of their existence) and previous failures in the chart. Includes: "I’ll Change Your Flat Tire Merle", "Pickin’ To Beat The Devil", "I’ve Just Seen A Face" and "Drifting Too Far From The Shore."

Alan Parsons Project - Tales Of Mystery And Imagination - Deluxe Edition. Dble CD.
(Label: Polydor, Cat.No: 9848545)

Click for large image Expanded 2 CD set of this great prog extravaganza.Includes the original 1976 edition, the 1987 remix and eight previously unreleased tracks.

Supertramp - Live In America. CD.
(Label: The Store For Music Ltd, Cat.No: SFMCD037)

Click for large image US adult/arena rock band Supertramp were well into their way to major success when they played Cleveland, Ohio in 1976. Only a few years away from being truly massive in America, this twelve track performance highlights the (relatively ) new line ups live prowess. Includes: "Sister Moonshine", "If Everyone Was Listening" and "School."

Ian Matthews - Pure And Crooked / Skeleton Key. CD.
(Label: B.G.O. Records, Cat.No: BGOCD739)

Click for large image Two 80’s albums from Iain (he has changed his name twice during his long and diverse career) that were originally released on small independent labels. Skeleton key must have been a bit of a surprise for his long term fans as after a decade of synth and new wave experimentation, Matthews returned with his most acoustic and stripped down album ever. Pure and Crooked is some of Matthews most convincing folk rock he ever prodcued, with the former Fairport singer penning almost the entire album (something he rarely ever managed). Digitally remastered and slipcased.

Bread - Manna. CD.
(Label: Wounded Bird Records, Cat.No: WOU 7408)

Click for large image Third album from California soft rockers Bread, released in 1971. This was the first time that the divide between songwriters David Gates and Robb Royer / James Griffin is clear, both units trying to trump each other. Happily this creates a better record for the listener as the quality goes up as they refine their craft. A great example of early '70's soft rock. Includes: the massive hit "If", "I Say Again" and "Let Your Love Go."

Bread - Bread. CD.
(Label: Wounded Bird Records, Cat.No: WOU 7404)

Click for large image 1969 debut album by the Californian soft rockers. Blending the folk roots of the Byrds and Springfield with classic British melodicism was their forte and they quickly became the benchmark for the soft rock scene. Capable of writing simple melodies that would stick in your head, David Gates was the one who wrote the hits while James Griffin and Robb Royer wrote the rockier stuff (that didn't do as well but were equally as well crafted). Includes: "It Don't Matter to Me", "Truckin" and "Make It With You."

Bread - On The Waters. CD.
(Label: Wounded Bird Records, Cat.No: WOU 7407)

Click for large image The third album by Californias Bread. Coming after "Making It With You", their smash single on both sides of the Atlantic, the album is perhaps a little misleading. There are no other tracks like the melancholic number, it is instead filled with rockier numbers written by the other songwriters in Bread: Robb Royer and James Griffin. Again it is a superb set of Californian pop. Includes: "Look What You've Done", "I Want You With Me" and "Other Side of Life."

Jose Feliciano - Live At The Blue Note, NY. CD.
(Label: SPV / Yellow, Cat.No: SPV97822)

Click for large image The Latin born singer songwriter is one of the most popular singers within his genre. Digitally remastered performance from New York. His thirteen track set list is made up of classics like: "Jealous Guy", "Light My Fire", "La Bamba" and "California Dreaming." Digipack version.

Little Steven - Live At The Full House Rock Show. DVD.
(Label: Ard, Cat.No: )

Click for large image DVD that features a cracking performance from long-time Bruce Springsteen and Southside Johnny collaborator Little Steven. Recorded in 1987 the disc is full of rhythm & blues, soul and rock 'n' roll with classic numbers like "Los Desaparecidos" and "No More Party's". Nine tracks in total and as a bonus the DVD features an interview with Little Steven himself.Dolby digital 5.1 region 0 disc.

Angel - Live Without A Net. Dble CD.
(Label: B.G.O. Records, Cat.No: BGOCD730)

Click for large image Originally a double LP release from 1978, this is the digitally remastered, slip cased double CD version. All the elements of a '70's rock show you could possibly want are here; drum guitar and keyboard solos, a cover of a Bowie classic and extended closing codas for every damn track here. Sixteen tracks including: "Got Love If You Want It", "Telephone Exchange", "White Lightning" and "On The Rocks."

Pure Prairie League - Pure Prairie League / Bustin' Out. CD.
(Label: Evangeline, Cat.No: ACA8113)

Click for large image Two albums on one CD, both released originally in '72. This is top drawer country rock that rivals the Eagles for it's consistant high quality. Genuine emotion and intelligence shine from this album of love gone wrong songs and beautiful arrangements. Two real high point for the genre from a highly underrated group. Seventeen tracks, including: "it's All On Me", "Take It Before You Go", "Leave My Heart Alone" and "Amie."
