Air Supply - All Out Of Love- The Ultimate Performance. CD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD100)

Hankies at the ready. . .Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell, aka Air Supply, are back, they're in your town and practically every song's a ballad. The band who make Journey, Toto, Les Holroyd's BJH and REO Speedwagon sound like Flipper, Bad Brains, Napalm Death and Anal Cunt by comparison, possibly the ultimate name in soft rock and the doyen of a million 80s arenas. Actually, in all seriousness, it's easy to poke fun but the truth is that Hitchcock and Russell are great songwriters and masters of the melodic craft, no more, no less. This DVD was filmed on their reunion tour in 2004, and shows they've lost none of their old magic as they treat an enraptured (or 'rapt' as they say Down Under) audience to 'Even The Nights Are Better' 'Lost In Love' 'Every Woman In The World' 'Here I Am' 'Sweet Dreams' 'Making Love Out Of Nothing At All' (a personal favourite of your scribe) and of course 'All Out Of Love', the song that ate everybody in the early 80s out of Kleenex!! The fact is, 25 years on, there's still no-one that does this kinda stuff better. Wanna learn to write a classic love song? Buy this, listen up, and watch very very carefully!!

Angelic Upstarts - Solidarity- Angelic Upstarts Live. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD95)

A raucous live set from the South Shields punkers' 1997 tour, still every bit as angry, annoyed and right on the nose as ever they were. Mensi and the Toon lads blast 'howay' through 'Murder Of Liddle Towers' 'Never Ad Nothin' 'I'm An Upstart' 'Teenage Warning' 'Two Million Voices' 'Police Oppression' 'Soldier' and more. All captured for the first time on a glorious Region 0 PAL DVD!!! A cover of 'White Riot' is totally unneccessary- the band's own songs are strong enough- but buying this is very necessary indeed. About as punk and disorderly as it's possible to get.

Belle Stars - Sign Of The Times- The Belle Stars Live. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD108)

The first ever Belle Stars Region 0 DVD commercially available. No, don't laugh- they were formed from the ashes of the Bodysnatchers, after all. This show was recorded in 1983 at the height of their popularity (actually shortly before they broke up!) and includes 'Sign Of The Times', a topical pop song that graced the Top 10 and still sounds great today, as well as 'Mockingbird' 'Crime Of Passion' 'Sweet Memory' and the inevitable 'Clapping Song'. Takes one back to those heady days of student sit- ins, faux-lesbian haircuts, Red Wedge, Hackney Council squats, and deelyboppers- or, if you were the age of certain Freak Emporium writers, sitting on the bus to school substituting the words 'Rubber johnny' for 'Rubber dolly'. And yes, we all did it, so don't even think about trying to deny it. . .

Cinderella - In Concert- The Heartbreak Station Tour. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD99)

Excellent quality live and in yer face DVD from Philadelphia sleaze metallers (once described, maybe somewhat unfairly, as 'the best AC/DC tribute band ever') recorded at the time of their third and biggest-selling album 'Heartbreak Station' in 1990. At this point, Keifer, Brittingham, Coury and LeBar looked poised to conquer the world: little did they know that a year later some recalcitrant floppy haired miscreant from Aberdeen, Washington would come along and ruin it for everybody. Ah well. For a while though, Cinders and their kind ruled the roost, the world was full of thigh-boot clad, lacy-bloused girls called Rachel and Kerri, and at least one member of the Freak Emporium staff was happy!! Includes "The More Things Change" "Night Songs" "Somebody Save Me" "Heartbreak Station" "Falling Apart At The Seams" "Don't Know What You Got" "Nobody's Fool" "Gypsy Road" "Shake Me" "Shelter Me"- ah, them were the days!! Pure muthafukin' RAWK, mate. Kids today with their sidepartings and their Atreyu t-shirts don't know they're born, etc etc. . .

Cud - When At Home, Film Me. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD84)

First ever DVD release to feature live footage of this most quirky, eccentric and iconoclastic of late 80s/early 90s indie bands, fronted by the slightly loopy Carl Puttnam, an Essex boy lost in Leeds. Obviously much beloved of John Peel (and David Gedge, who signed them), they soon excelled on- where else- the Northern college circuit, where this footage was recorded. Taken from two incendiary gigs on their Winter 1989 tour (Leeds and Bradford, unsurprisingly) and featuring the type of skewed 'anarcho-romantic' pop they made their own on tracks such as 'Only A Prawn In Whitby' 'Van Van Van' 'Art' 'I've Had It With Blondes' and 'Robinson Crusoe'. The Bradford material has never to this date been seen, making this disc an even more essential purchase.

Danielle Dax - Bad Miss M- Danielle Dax Live. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD111)

The first ever DVD to feature Britain’s queen of Psychedelia, Danielle Dax. A performer whose enigmatic and experimental work reflected the strong influence of Biblical mysticism and Middle Eastern musical textures, Danielle Dax was born in Southend, England. She made her musical debut in 1979 as the keyboardist in the seven-piece Amy Turtle and the Crossroads; and then went on to front the Lemon Kittens. Upon the Lemon Kittens' 1982 split, Dax mounted a solo career. She debuted a year later with Pop-Eyes, a true solo effort for which she wrote and performed every song alone, even handling mixing and production duties and distributing the record through her own Awesome label. While her heavy makeup and colossal hair aligned her with the thriving "Batcave" Goth scene, she steadfastly avoided easy pigeonholing, even making the leap into film with appearance's in Neil Jordan's Brithorror hit The Company of Wolves. Dax returned to music in 1984 with the Jesus Egg That Wept EP, and went on to recruit a live band, emerging as a significant concert draw; a series of singles including 1985's "Yummer Yummer Man," 1986's "Where the Flies Are," 1988's "Cat-House" and 1989's "White Knuckle Ride" - each slightly more commercial than the last - also established her as a force on the independent charts, and after the success of 1987's 'Inky Bloaters' LP, she signed to Sire. 'Bad Miss M' captures a full show Danielle played in London at the height of her mid-1980’s solo success. Amongst the tracks featured are the aforementioned 'Yummer Yummer Man'.

Dead Kennedys - DMPOS On Broadway. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD001)

Dead Kennedys are possibly, next to Ramones and Black Flag, the greatest American punk band. Their Cherry Red album "Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables" has sold over 150,000 copies in the UK alone. This release is in O format and will play anywhere in the world. This June 1994 performance marked the closing of San Francisco's DMPO's on Broadway Avante Garde Theatre and nightclub. Director Dirk Dirksen documents the performance of Klaus Flouride, D.H. Peligro, East Bay Ray and Jello Biafra. The 58 minute concert was captured in real time using 4 cameras.

DOA - Positively DOA- DOA Live. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD125)

The first ever DVD to feature one of the great Punk bands of all time - D.O.A. It wasn't long before punk rock expanded beyond just New York City, London, and Los Angeles during the mid-late '70s, as evidenced by the emergence of the long-running Vancouver, Canada based outfit, D.O.A. Originally formed in 1978, D.O.A. has been led from the beginning by singer/guitarist Joe Keithley, aka 'Joey Shithead,' who has been joined by a wide variety of other bandmates through the years. The same year as their formation, D.O.A. issued a debut EP, Disco Sucks, before following it up with a pair of full lengths that many longtime fans consider D.O.A.'s classic recordings, 1980's Something Better Change and 1981's Hardcore '81. Since the beginning Keithley has been unafraid to voice his political opinions (a renown D.O.A. slogan among their faithful is 'TALK-ACTION 0') which, at one point, landed him in jail. D.O.A. would go on to issue albums throughout the '80s and '90s (including such highlights as 1982's War on 45, 1985's The Dawning of a New Error, 1993's Loggerheads, etc.). Keithley also runs his own indie record company, Sudden Death Records, and issued an autobiography in late 2003, titled 'I, Shithead: A Life in Punk.' D.O.A. continues strong to this day, as evidenced by such releases as 2002's Win the Battles. As a result of Keithley's hard work, D.O.A. is often name checked as an important influence by otherhardcore/punk bands, including such notables as Green Day, the Offspring, Rancid, and Propagandhi, among others. "Positively D.O.A" features a full show from the band during their 1984 tour of the UK.

Einsturzende Neubaten - 1/2 Mensch (Halber Mensch). DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD80)

ACHTUNG!!!! Der new buildings zey are kollapsink upon mein kopf!! Such a statement may sound like utter nonsense but accurately describes not only the translation of the name of these German industrial pioneers, but also the sound made by their uncompromising, groundbreaking music. A fascinating, sometimes unlistenable (in the best way, of course) combination of clanging rhythmic noise (produced by both drum machines and genuine industrial materials such as power drills), white noise guitar fuzz and the gurgling vocals of Blixa Bargeld, at last available for the first time on DVD!! Not a live show, but 10 promo videos of visual art combining to make up a full-length film made by the band at the time of the classic album 'Halber Mensch'. Stunningly unconventional, and essential for fans of a band whose music is visual by definition..

GBH - Live At The Ace, Brixton/Up Yer Tower. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD27)

The first ever DVD to feature one of the biggest and longstanding second wave punk outfits in the UK, GBH. In 1980, four drinking buddies got together and formed a band inspired by the mid seventies punk acts. Initially called Charged GBH, they were signed up to Stoke based Clay Records within a year and released a string of singles and LPs that were to become second wave punk classics. But their studio performance was only an inkling of their stage presence. Soon GBH earned a reputation for being amongst the most exciting and intense performers on the scene, their gigs a blaze of irreverent punk rock posturing and high-speed savagery. More than any other band they were to influence the US hardcore street-punk phenomenon. Touring almost constantly, there is barely a continent that hasn’t been treated to one of their truly electrifying concerts. With thousands of fans worldwide, GBH have remained a force to be recognised even today. This DVD contains restored footage of two of the band’s most celebrated early gigs - their amazing turn at the Ace in Brixton, London in 1983 and as the headline act at the legendary "Up Yer Tower" gig in Blackpool, 1982. Both gigs demonstrate the raw power and stage presence which was to secure them the status of true punk icons and cement their future as one of the predominant rock and roll outfits of all time. Amongst the tracks featured are Indie Chart top ten hits, "No Survivors", "Sick Boy" and "Give Me Fire".

Gun Club - Live At The Hacienda- Preaching The Blues. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD122)

The first ever DVD one of the outstanding alternative bands of the 1980's - The Gun Club. Tribal, psychobilly blues is the best way to describe Gun Club's energetic death rock, the band's leader Jeffrey Lee Pierce' had a reputation as an unreliable, and well-publicized bouts of drunkenness dogged him throughout his career. Formed in Los Angeles in the early '80s, the band rested more comfortably around the New York downtown set and Pierce's mentors, Debbie Harry and Chris Stein. Their 1981 debut, Fire of Love, was a punk/blues hybrid - intense energy fueled Pierce's exorcism-in progress delivery and the band's frenetic style. 1982's Miami album was produced by Blondie's Chris Stein - Pierce had once been the president of Blondie's U.S. fan club which sparked the liaison. For Las Vegas Story in 1984, the Club won over guitarist Kid Congo Powers from the Cramps and Patricia Morrison (the Bags) on bass and it looked as if that was that when, save for some live recordings and posthumous releases, Pierce launched his solo career in 1985 with the EP Flamingo and the Wildweed album for the Statick label. But it wasn't quite over; in 1987 Pierce came back with a realigned Club and the album, Mother Juno (Fundamental) which earned them a wider following than ever. In 1996, after drying-out, but suffering from persistent health problems, Pierce passed away from a brain hemorrhage. Morrison went on to play with the Sisters of Mercy and eventually the Damned, Powers in his own lounge group and Dotson formed the Pontiac Brothers. The group were one of the most popular draws on the live circuit during their mid-1980's heyday - and "Live At The Hacienda" captures two visits the band made to Manchester's legendary venue. Yes, not everyone in Manc in the mid 80s was walking round in baggies, cardigans and paisley shirts!! Jeffrey Lee Pierce remains a legend to his many fans and a biopic of the frontman is currently in production.

Despite rave reviews and Radio 1 play and constantly topping the indie charts, the Norwich band never seemed to make it into the mainstream- but they left behind a legacy of impressive music that it is our pleasure to present in all its live glory from London in 1984!! Includes "I Don’t Want To Live With Monkeys" "Music To Watch Girls By" "Push Out The Boat" and "Where Have All The Club A-Go-Gos Went Went?" As Robyn Hitchcock would say, (and he should know): listen to the Higsons, woo woo.

Link Wray - The Rumble Man. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD28)

First ever DVD of the man who all but invented rock and roll as we know it, whose first records predate Bill Haley and Elvis's first recordings, and whose seminal track 'Rumble' just might be the most important instrumental ever recorded. Laying the foundations for everything from garage punk to heavy metal, the tune was recorded in 1958 but written some time earlier, and sparked such controversy for its 'musical simulation of violence' that it was banned from several stations despite reaching the Billboard Top 10. His next cut 'Jack The Ripper' had almost the same effect, and for the ensuing 40 years his mixture of originals and covers represnted the pure, unbridled hillbilly spirit of original rock'n'roll. Several of his classics, including the aforementioned tunes, are included here on this DVD, as well as interpretations of everything from 'King Creole' and 'Born To Be Wild' in his own inimitable style, and extensive documentary footage of the man himself talking candidly about his life, loves and hates. Mama's Boys - Mama Weer All Crazee Now- Mama's Boys Live. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD118)

The first ever DVD to feature one of the biggest names from the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal- Belfast's Mama's Boys. Comprised of a trio of brothers form the clan McManus- to whit Pat, John and Tommy, the band issued several albums during the early to mid 80s, such as the classics 'Turn It Up' and 'Power And Passion', and in their mixture of strutting hard rock and traditional Irish influences, recalled early Thin Lizzy- although with more of an AOR slant than their mentors had ever displayed. Despite heavy rotation on MTV with a cover of Slade's "Mama Weer All Crazee Now" and success in Germany (no surprise there) the Boys, like so many UK/Eire bands in the 80s, suffered at the hands of America and poodle metal (and in particular, Kerrang's obsession with it) and never broke through. Then in the mid 90s, powerhouse drummer Tommy passed on, ensuring the band would never attain the success many felt they had deserved. Eventually they evolved into Celtus- but that's a different story altogether!! This Region O PAL DVD should remind us all what a grea band they were.

The band never really accepted her as a bona fide member and she departed in 1967, but not before contributing unforgettable deadpan vocals to three of the songs on theirclassic 1967 debut album. Nico embarked on a solo career, recording folk-rock-flavored songs for her debut Chelsea Girl albumwith assistance from Jackson Browne, Lou Reed, and John Cale. Her 1969 follow-up, The Marble Index, was a dramatic departure that unveiled her doom-laden, gothic persona, produced by Cale andprominently featuring her deep vocals, impenetrable lyrics, and ghostly harmonium. Her subsequent '70s albums explored much the same territory, with assistance from Cale and influential art rockers like Brian Eno. She fought a constant struggle with a massive drug habit and tangled personal life and eventually died of a cerebral hemorrhage (whilst riding her motorbike) in Ibiza in 1988.The original goth rocker, Nico's albums are demanding and bleak, but map a unique and starkly powerful vision that has become more influential with age. "All Tomorrow's Parties" features extremely rare material from two shows Nico played in the UK in the early 1980's..

Nothin' But Trash - Garage Punk 60s Sound. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD115)

Believe it or not the Swingin' Sixties didn't just spawn mega-pop groups like the Beatles, Stones and Monkees. The decade of love also gave birth to something far darker and dirtier, and arguably much more fun. Yes, the sixties were also responsible for producing the seeds of what would eventually become Punk Rock. The legacy of such icons as The Sonics, The 13th Floor Elevators and The Monks lives on today, and over the past two decades has produced cult sensations such as Thee Milkshakes, The Prisoners and Kaisers. A filthy hybrid of Bad Taste, Rhythm n Blues, rockabilly, surf sounds and all that is unholy, Trash Punk is one of the most enduring forces in the rock n roll underground. This DVD compilation covers nearly twenty years of (the second wave of) Garage Punk and Sixties Style rock, AKA Trash and showcases some of the legendary characters that have emerged on the scene. Never anything less than inventive, 'Nothin But Trash' shows exactly why this debauched tradition survives to this very day - It's bloody good fun. From cult heroes The Gun Club and Link Wray to more recent contenders to the throne Saturn V and Empress of Fur, it's no frills and big thrills all they way as we visit the seediest venues in the UK and spend time at 2003's Wild Weekend in Benidorm, Spain. A mixture of live and promo footage showcases one of most thriving genres of underground music history and present.

Oi,Oi,Oi - Various. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD65)

By the end of the 1970s, punk in Britain was splintering into several distinct strains, most of them quite "arty". Oi! music was an attempt to keep punk a populist, street-level phenomenon, and most of it came from the working class of South London and the cockney East End. Taking its name from the Cockney Rejects song Oi! Oi! Oi! (before which it was simply known as street-punk), Oi! was loud, brutal, and extremely simple. In essence, it was punk rock that was most at home in a rowdy pub. The Oi! movement was marked by strenuously collectivist politics and chanted, football-cheer choruses. it's a celebration of the Oi scene, featuring both live performance and interview footage from some of the main players in the genre including Peter And The Test Tube Babies, Sham 69, The Toy Dolls and The Exploited.Region 0 PAL disc

One Way System - No Return/All Systems Go. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD26)

The first ever DVD to feature one of Punk’s most enduringly popular and uncompromising bands, One Way System. Not so much a compilation as a potted history of the career of North West England’s premier punk outfit from 1982 to 1997. One Way System first lit up the second wave punk revolution with their fresh faced, no nonsense sound in the early eighties, when Oi! and skinhead culture had all but rejected the original punk ethic. One Way System managed to bridge the gap. From the front cover of Sounds to the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles, the System remained sharp and impressive, their natural aggression and un-faulting professionalism sealing their reputation as one of the most exciting bands on the international punk circuit. The ‘comeback’ gig at the 1996 Holidays In The Sun festival only proved that One Way System are still a force to be reckoned with. A year later they were taking Japan by storm. A new millennium has rolled by and One Way System still impress. Touring Europe and the USA. Playing to enthusiastic crowds they remain as hard hitting and entertaining as ever. The DVD features never been seen before footage, candid interviews and a soundtrack to die for. Spanning 15 years the disc includes tracks from five classic gigs, promo clips and a short taster for a fly-on-the wall documentary of the 1997 Japanese tour, currently in post production. Amongst the tracks featured are One Way System classics including Indie Chart hits, "Jerusalem" and a cover of Slade's "Cum On Feel The Noise".

Peter Perrett - Another Girl Another Planet- Peter Perrett Live. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDS - CRDVD127)

The first ever DVD to feature one of the enigmatic greats of UK music - Peter Perrett. As leader of the Only One's in the late '70s, Peter Perrett was one of the new wave's most enigmatic cult figures. His mix of then-current punk/new wave sounds with traces of glam helped pave the way for the more flexible alternative rock sounds of the 1980s and '90s. Serious drug problems knocked him out of commission for most of the 1980s, and indeed he kept such a low profile that a Syd Barrett-like mystique began to arise around him. Defeating his addictions in the late '80s, he began to ease back into music, finally releasing an EP of new material in 1994, and thenrecording a full-length album, Woke Up Sticky, the following year."Another Girl Another Planet" features clips from Perrett playing a full live show at London's Mean Fiddler. Also included is a collection of extremely rare and unseen home-movie style footage featuring Perrettworking on new material in the studio and relaxing at home. Amongst the tracks featured are The Only Ones eternally popular anthem "Another Girl, Another Planet". With the untimely death of Nikki Sudden in 2006, it seems Perrett is one of the last of a dying breed. Cherish him.

Poison - Seven Days Live. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD114)

A fantastic live DVD featuring one of the most successful rock bands of all time - Poison. In the early 80's, Bret Michaels, Bobby Dall, Rikki Rockett and C.C. Deville came together to form the band, and were soon signed to Enigma Records where they recorded debut album 'Look What The Cat Dragged In'. The album spawned three US top ten hits and went on to sell over two million copies. Second album 'Open Up And Say...Ahh!' outsold its predecessor, with several hits, including US number one 'Every Rose Has It’s Thorn'. After the "Open Up" tour, they headed back home to record their third album 'Flesh & Blood', in 1990. This was the album that launched them to worldwide success (going to number three in the UK album chart) and spawned more hit singles including 'Unskinny Bop'. The band still continues to tour and record, retaining their massive worldwide fanbase. 'Seven Days Live' captures Poison at the height of their international success with a full show recorded at London’s Hammersmith Apollo on their 'Native Tongue' tour in 1993, shortly before grunge temporarily put a halt to their career. Psycho Mania! - Various. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD128)

Psychomania features three of the biggest and best names to emerge from the Psychobilly scene, performing at the legendary "Night Of The Long Knives" Psychobilly festival in Birmingham, England in 1988 - and together for the first time on DVD. The Quakes are one of the best-known U.S. Psychobilly acts and gained a large and devoted European following during the late 1980's. The band has continued playing until the present - influencing the scene in their native USA, throughout Europe and in Japan and touring all three continents. Their popularity in the Far East even resulted in a major label deal with Sony. Skitzo are one of the most successful acts from the UK scene and made a massive impact at the time of this performance. Skitzo released two albums - 'Skitzo Mania' and 'Terminal Damage' - and quickly became a major band on the scene, particularly in London where they were based. The rumours of a Skitzo reunion regularly circulate and their popularity remains undiminished. The Klingonz hold a reputation as one of the most visually exciting bands on the scene and are still gigging to the present day. The band appeal to the wackier side of Psychobilly, taking all of its elements to the extreme. Crazier in appearance with bizarre hair-cuts, more offensive songs, and playing faster than their contemporaries, they made a huge impact with their insane performances and album releases which boasted titles like 'Mongo', 'Flange', 'Jabot' and 'Bollix'. Their popularity spread right across Europe and into Japan, where a 'Best Of' album was released. NB: This DVD is nothing to do with the British horror film soundtrack 'Pyschomania'.

Like Neubaten (but with a more explicit left wing political stance) their music often involved the use of scrap iron, power tools and self-made instruments: indeed, live performances were conducted using whatever they salvaged on the way to the show, which was normally performed in an obscure, often quite literally industrial, venue. This DVD- the first ever release of its kind from the band- was made in 1984 as a film to accompany the album of the same name, featuring both live and 'art' material, and as such is an indespensible document. Sheer genius from the days when Industrial meant more than just plastic hair, PVC trousers and an attitude problem.

Virgin Prunes - Sons Find Devils. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDS - CRDVD)

One of the leading alternative bands of the early 1980's the Virgin Prunes are going through somewhat of a renaissance of popularity being cited left right and centre by the new wave of British post-punk groups. Avant-garde and experimental the Prunes bravely went were few bands of the time were willing to go and attracting the attention of such luminaries as Colin Newman of Wire (who produced their second album). This DVD, the first to feature the Prunes, showcases their fantastic live act (which combined light shows and were often more akin to performance art than a rock show) along with snippets of spoken word and set pieces designed by the band. A must for fans of brave alternative music.

The first ever offcial DVD of one of America's greatest punk rock talents (and still, to this day, one of its saddest losses) Wendy O Williams. Formerly leader of the Plasmatics, and noted for her no-holds barred, riotous, often obscene stage act (which sometimes bordered on the kind of performance art specialised in by Kathy Acker and Karen Findlay) which got her banned in London on several occasions before Rock Bitch were even out of their school skirts!! This set is taken from her "WOW" tour which promoted the solo debut of the same name in 1985: it is not for the faint hearted or anyone who doesn't know how to rock'n'roll!! A priceless testament to a much missed character. Courtney who?? Oblocks. Wendy was the first and is still the best. Region 0 PAL.

William Burroughs - Thee Films. DVD. (Cherry Red DVDs - CRDVD 146)

Unique collection comprising of all the films made during the lengthy period of collaboration between William Burroughs, Brion Gysin, and the radical British film-maker Anthony Balch. Their partnership began in the '60's with Balch making a realtively straightforward film capturing the essence of Burroughs writing on film and capturing the key themes and situations featured in his books. Their following work was more avant garde, each scene being filmed and editied before they cut up the finished film and randomly spliced it back together to express Burroughs' work ethic. Ever since Balch's death in 1980, the experimental films remained untouched until the intervention of Psychic TV's Genesis P.Orridge salvaged and archived the footage. Bonus 50 minute film called "Ghosts at No. 9" uses cut-ups of film and superimpositions, material from the extensive archive of Psychick TV. Five films in total. 90 mins long.
