Alarm, The (IRS) - Eye Of The Hurricane. CD. (EMI Catalouge - 5776702) This 1987 release from 'Alarm', should have been the album that pushed these guys into the mainstream. Stadium rock anthems should have had thousands queuing around the block. Unfortunately for them, they did not breakthrough, even thought they had the exposure of frequent radio play, and supporting 'Bob Dylan' on a world tour. Tracks on this album include: "Hallowed Ground", "One step Closer To Home" and "Newtown Jericho"

Alarm, The (IRS) - Raw. CD. (EMI Catalouge - 7130872) 1991 Album from Stadium rockers 'The Alarm" this heavily filled political album, which borrows ideas from artists such as 'The Clash' and 'Pete Seeger'. Strange mix I know, but it works very well. Tracks on this album include: "Wonderful World", "Save Your Crying" and "Hell Or High Water".

Alarm, The (IRS) - Standards. CD. (EMI Catalouge - EIRSACD1043) Unfortunately due to some of the production techniques that were used in the 80's, some artists have simply been given the label: product of the era. 'The Alarm' was a band that fell victim to this. Although their live shows at the time were very original and huge on scale, this was not enough for them to make that vital crossover to become a super band, that would stand the test of time. This 1990 collection of tracks take some of the best songs that came from these highly talented but unlucky hard rockers. Track listing lnclude: "Rain In The Summertime"

This album also premiered some of the bands most well known songs, such as "Spirit Of 76" and "Strength".

Beausoleil - Arc De Triomphe Two Step. CD. (EMI Catalouge - HEMIMDCD105) Recent reissue from the most popular cajun bands in the world. Originally released in 1976 this recent reissue is hopefully part of a rivival of this fantastic genre. Songs are mostly sung in the style of ballads, and is most defiantly meant for dancing (Two Step). Tracks from this album include: "Valse De Grand Chemin " and "Johnny Can't Dance"

Blue Aeroplanes - Best Of. CD. (EMI Catalouge - CDCHRM101) Brilliant best of from one of the nest UK art school bands of the 90's. This best of, is a fantastic compilation of all the best bits from their career. This collection features songs from their 4 full length album as well as their EP's. Tracks Include. "Jack Leaves And Back Spring", "Growing Up Growing Down" and "Sixth Continent".

Bonzo Dog Band - Vol 2 - The Outro. CD. (EMI Catalouge - CDP7995972) Essential 23 track collection of some of the best work that the Bonzos ever recorded, bringing together the Tadpoles and Keynsham LPs from the late '60's. Fantastically original, inventive and hilarious. Tracks include; "The Monster Mash", "I'm The Urban Spaceman", "The Bride Stripped Bare By 'Bachelors'" and "Quiet Talks And Summer Walks".

Brand X - Introducing.. Brand X. CD. (EMI Catalouge - INTROCD2) The best compilation of 'Brand X' that’s available at such budget price. This is fantastic introduction to this band, all songs are taken from in-between 1977 - 1980. Expect a fusion of Rock Jazz and exotica performed by; John Goodsall, Percy Jones, Robin Lumley, Morris Pert and Phil Collins. Tracks Include ; "Macrocosm ", "Sun In The Light" and "Algon (Where an Ordinary Cup of Drinking Choclate Costs £8,000,000,000)".

Burning Spear - Best Of The Fittest. CD. (EMI Catalouge - CDFL2025) A terrific introduction to this well known reggae artist, who beautifully blends reggae with lyrics of mother Africa and Rastafarianism and politics.. If your new to this artist, this is the place to start, all of these songs are taken from the peak of their career. Tracks include: "Hail H.I.M.", "Fittest Of The Fittest" and "Cry Blood Africa". Highly Recommended.

Burning Spear - Hail Him (remastered). CD. (EMI Catalouge - 5359782) This album, like the artist, was sadly overshadowed by the overwhelming popularity of 'Bob Marley', which is a hell of shame, because this is possibly one of the greatest Rastafarian spirited reggae albums of all time. If you have only ventured as far as 'Bob Marley', dig a little deeper and buy this album. You will love it. Tracks include: "African Postman", "African Teacher" and "Follow Marcus Garvey "

David Bowie - Black Tie White Noise. DVD. (EMI Catalouge - 4906349) DVD version of Bowie's first solo album after his Tin Machine project, released in 1993. Featuring the return of Mick Ronson, a guest solo by avant jazz trumpeter Lester Bowie and Lets Dance producer Nile Rodgers, this is a typically ambitious effort from the thin white one. Finding his muse again and moving away from the commercial sound of recent albums boosts the credibility of this underrated album. A mixture of Low era instrumentals and a new mature dance rock approach (as well as quite a few random covers) make this a great listen. Includes: "The Wedding Song", "You've Been Around" and "You've Been Around."

(EMI Catalouge - 5433192) This DVD version of the 1983 album that emerged after Bowies three year break.this edition enhances the experience with superior audio quality and the option to listen in 5.1 surround sound. His synth based dance music with soul undercurrents was clearly aimed towards the commercial market at this time after numerous avant garde and largely instrumental albums in the late '70's. Includes: the classic title track, "Cat People (Putting Out Fire)" and "Modern Love.".

David Bowie - Platinum Collection. 3-CD. (EMI Catalouge - 3313042) David Bowie remains impossible to pigeonhole - first there was Ziggy Stardust, Aladdin Sane, a White Soul Boy and a Thin White Duke. He went on to invent synth-pop with Tony Visconti and Brian Eno and then disappeared behind the make-up of Pierrot when the New Romantics mixed all of his eras together. This compilation released in 2005 , takes some of the better tracks from these periods through 57 tracks on three CD's. Tracks include "China Girl", " "Lets Dance", "Ashes To Ashes", "Fame" and "Space Oddity".

This is solid enjoyable concert, that any fan of Bowie will enjoy immensely.

Slap bang in his Berlin period, Dave performs tracks from that era and reworks Ziggy/Station To Station era stuff into this new sleak style. Interesting to hear the murky sounds of album tracks given such a clean overhaul for this twenty track live show. Includes: "Art Decade", "Heroes", "Beauty And The Beast" and "Hang On To Yourself."

J.J Cale - To Tulsa And Back. CD. (EMI Catalouge - 5788262) Fantastic 2004 album from the king of blues chill out. This album really takes his work back to basics, which is a breath of fresh air. Half of the album was recorded in Oklahoma, with some of his old bar buddies, which gives the album a great down to earth feel that anyone can relate to. Highly Recommended. Tracks Include: "Fancy Dancer", "Stone River", I Step" and "Another Song".
