Beginning as a spontaneous session in March of 2006 in Nagoya Japan, the trio wer eso excited that they decided to push the group forward, this is the result of their adventures, a fiery fantasy filled, loud/soft masterpiece.

Acid Mothers Temple / Kawabata Makoto - Hosana Mantra. CD. (Important Records - IMPREC15CD) CD release of the 2007 solo album by the Acid Mothers Temple leader. Created after a days listening to experimental music with his italian friends Pierpaolo and Pasquale (and inspired by the '70's Popul Vuh album "Hosianna Mantra"), he quickly recorded his latest cosmic vision. A thing of genuine beauty, it features Makoto on electric guitar, sitar and bouzouki. Included are the bonus tracks previously only available on the free 7" found on the first 100 copies of the LP edition.

Baikal - Baikal. CD. (Important Records - IMPREC119CD) Baikal is a 2007 burner from Bardo Pond brothers John & Michael Gibbons along with fellow Bardo Pond members Clint Takeda and Jason Kourkonis. This time they ventured down the route of heavy free-improvisation and a Last Exit style hard rock approach coupled with a hard psych bend. With two tracks each weighing in at over 30 minutes in length it's clear that Baikal is a deep voyage underseas with yet another mindblowing Bardo Pond sideproject featuring Bardo brothers John & Michael Gibbons as your tour guide and it's a heavy trip indeed. Citay - Citay. CD. (Important Records - IMPREC071) The outfit put together by (Tim Green (Fucking Champs) and Ezra Feinberg (Piano Magic) in San Francisco 2005 release their stunning debut. Influences range from the acoustic values of Zeppelin/ISB and the drama of Queen to traces of Bill Nelson (Bebop Deluxe era) and even a smattering of Yes. Sounds like everyone's favourite band already!!

Conrad Schnitzler - Klavierhelm. CD. (Important Records - IMPREC113) Limited edition new release from the former Tangerine Dream / Kluster / Harmonia member, only 1000 pressings. A surprising record by Schnitzler's usual standards, this finds him concentrating on the piano. Obviously the man wouldn't limit himself to merely playing straightforward songs; his highly expressive and free approach is reminiscent of John Cage, Cecil Taylor and others.

Conrad Schnitzler - Trigger Trilogy. 3-CD. (Important Records - IMPREC114) The three discs here come from the former Tangerine Dream / Kluster / Harmonia member's own private collection of recordings. One of the forefathers of electronic music, the discs cover a large chunk of his career from the early '70's to the modern day. Disc one is primarily experiments in layered vocal effects and rhythmically based electronic music. Disc two highlights the process of building up numerous tracks and how combined tracks can create their own melodies within the mass sprawl of the mix. Disc three is a live mix of new tracks, a meticulously planned performance that alters depending upon the acoustics of the room. A highly ambitious, thrillnig experiment in sound.

Daniel Johnston's Electric Ghosts - Daniel Johnston's Electric Ghosts. CD. (Important Records - IMPREC081CD) The Electric Ghosts is a side project by this highly respected outsider musician and songwriter and it was put together with the help of his tour manager and Hyperjinx Tricycle whilst on the road touring America, playing shows and searching for salvation. Daniel Johnston is widely recognized as the father of lo-fi and Henry Rosenthal produced a film of his life "The Devil and Daniel Johnston" that was nominated for an Academy award in 2006. Over the years he has also been championed by celebrity musicians like Tom Waits, Kurt Cobain, David Bowie and Sonic Youth and a tribute to Daniel was released in 2005 including tracks by Deathcab For Cutie, Mercury Rev, Tom Waits, Beck and Jad Fair. Cover art for Electric Ghosts is by famed billboard subverter and Hyperjinx Tricycle band member Ron English. The Electric Ghosts was mastered by Shimmy Disc guru and Johnston producer Kramer.

Diane Cluck - Macy's Day Bird. Dble CD. (Important Records - IMPREC078CD) This deluxe double CD, pairs up Diane Cluck's second full length album Macy's Day Bird with the EP titled Black With Green Leaves. Both were originally released by Diane in an elaborate tiny handmade editions. These are arguably Diane's most compelling, immediate and striking records and it was these two recordings that originally caught the ear of Important Records in 2001. Macy's Day Bird/Black With Green Leaves is highly recommended to Diane's many new fans who picked up on her after the release of Oh Vanille/Ova Nil in early 2005. The attentive listener will find her hauntingly clear voice weaving melodies of love, pain and city life through sparse arrangements of piano, acoustic guitar and harmonium. This material is newly restored/mastered by James Fei. Come in a deluxe, high quality cardboard sleeve.

Keiji Haino & Sitar Tah - Animamima. CD. (Important Records - IMPREC099) Live album, recorded in June 2004, featuring Keiji Haino and a one off guest from the twenty piece sitar orchestra Sitar Tah. Presented in a Deluxe Letterpressed and die cut two CD package, this is a superb performance from the cornerstone of the Japanesse underground scene. Criminally ignored by most of Western culture, he is a fiery Enigma, performing his dark masterpieces for over twenty five years.Lush framed card packaging rounds of the release.Limited print run.

LSD March - Constellation Of Tragedy. CD. (Important Records - IMPREC164) One of the most interesting and appealing psychedelic bands currently working in Japan, and that's saying a lot when you realise that Japan has cultivated one of the most progressive and diverse psychedelic scenes in existence! This is their sixthfull length release, their most well recorded and refined album to date.

The Creep was originally released on Julian Cope's Fuck Off And Di label in a limited edition of 100 which sold out instantly. Since, it's quickly gained massive underground status after being propped up by the likes of Sunn O))) and The Wire.Seeps into your subconscious, where it flutters like a trapped and burning moth at the back of your brain. Suishou No Fune - Shining Star - Live. CD. (Important Records - IMPREC165) Formed in 1999 by guitarists Pirako Kurenai and Kageo, they were quickly acknowledged in Japan for their unique take on Japanese psychedelic traditions. Heavy lyrical emotion transcends linguistic barriers and Pirako's blown out fuzzy free-dream guitar work is an alternate universe psychedelic Japanese shoegaze.
