King Of Luxembourg (Simon Turner) - Sex Appeal. CD. (Richmond - MONDE7CD) This first class record has been unavailable for over a year and is a welcome return to the Cherry Red Catalogue. The album is a classic masterpiece which takes a look inside the wonderful world of the toy boy pin up child prodigy Simon Turner who was initially discovered by 70’s pop guru Jonathan King; his answer to Cassidy and Osmond. And yes, that is as dodgy as it sounds, but luckily Turner is a genius anyway. Includes his version of Bowie's "Prettiest Star" and the wonderful "California Revisited" medley, as well as later tracks tagged on that include stabs at the GO Betweens' "Lee Remick" and PIL'S "Poptones".

Legendary B Sides - Various. Dble CD. (Richmond - MONDE20CD) El Records is growing in stature as one of the most collectable of all labels. Vinyl copies of the el singles are becoming increasingly rare making these tracks even harder to find. The CD comes as two discs in one case and was specially compiled by label founder Mike Alway.

Simon Turner - Many Moods Of.... CD. (Richmond - MONDE14CD) The Simon Turner of the eighties, and of the art cinema movement. Almost all of his musical work was for his mentor the late British Film Director Derek Jarman. Selections here from "Sloane Square", "Caravaggio", "The Last Of England" and "The Garden". A fascinating contrast to Turner's pop work in the '70s and later in the guise "The King Of Luxembourg".
