High quality acoustic folk music with subtle vocals flute, guitar and strong backing by members of Magic Carpet and The Woods Band. Trippy Sitar drones, magical lyrics and gentle acoustic melodies abound. Imagine a psychedelic Nick Drake! Well worth investigating!

Christopher (USA, NC) - What'cha Gonna Do?. CD. (Scenes Of - SCOFCD 1003) A different band from the one with the self titled album, this band were also from the US and released this rare record in 1970, that was reissued on Rockadelic a few years back. It's rather good too, featuring some fine delicate acid fuzz guitar work and inspired arrangements. Check out the 12 minute title track.....

Cordelia's Dad - Road Kill. CD. (Scenes Of - SCOFCD 1004) US experimental college rock from this legendary Massachusetts trio who are part way between REM, Sonic Youth and Fugazi's mellower moments. These recordings date from the early to mid '90's recorded live in the USA and Europe with sources ranging from concert tapes to radio broadcasts.

Tudor Lodge - It All Comes Back. CD. (Scenes Of - SCOFCD 1005) A whole CD of rarities, demos and unreleased material by this excellent progressive Folk Rock band who made one album for Vertigo in the early '70s. Similar to Mellow Candle/Fairport/Steeleye etc. with female/male vocals but without the trad. stuff....

Wizz Jones - Dazzling Stranger. CD. (Scenes Of - SCOFCD 1001) 1994 release from one of UK folk music's most respected elder statesmen. Wizz shows that he's lost none of the magic on this impressive set of acoustic folk tunes. Beautiful

Wizz Jones - Lucky The Man. LP. (Scenes Of - SCOFLP 1009) The career of the respected and legendary UK folk guitarist/singer keeps on rolling on with this 2000 release. Here Wizz is joined by John Renbourn, Jacqui McShee and ex Incredible String Band member Clive Palmer amongst others. It's easy to see why he's held in such awe amongst the folk community with delicate and assured songs that evoke the spirit of classic UK folk. Limited vinyl edition.

Wizz Jones - Magical Flight. CD. (Scenes Of - SCOFCD 1006) Reissue of a legendary UK folk rock album from guitarist Wizz. First released in 1977 this is a song based treasure trove of acoustic guitar mastery, with guest appearances by most of Steeleye Span.
