Egg - Polite Force. LP. (Shot Records - SHOT10) Limited edition (500 copies only) and an exact repro of the second long playing fabulous progressive madness put out by Dave Stewart, Clive Brooks and Mont Campbell as EGG, originally released in 1970. The second album of the trio will please all the fans of the early Dave Stewart work in Arzachel, yet it has reminiscences of the early Caravan work as well. Long prog pieces plenty of jazzy structures, organ passages, freak out fragments, paranoid riffs... Put it in your pipe and smoke it!

Giles,Giles & Fripp - Cheerful Insanity Of. LP. (Shot Records - TPT249) Limited to 500 copies thick card sleeve this is an exact reissue of fabulous UK psychedelia ! These lovely poppie freaks that were to become King Crimson were helped in this 1968 release by Fairport Convention exilees Ian McDonald and Judy Dyble. This is without any doubt one of the best psychedelic pop albums of the period, it has a sound of its own that will appeal fans of the early Blossom Toes, Rainbow Ffolly and the likes.

Les Baroques - Les Baroques. LP. (Shot Records - SHOT 03) Super rare 1966 Dutch R'n'B garage album that sounds like classic '60's US garage punk with really great fuzz guitar and keyboard work. Driving powerful songs with a very cool attitude. There a some particularly groovy instrumentals. Nice laminated sleeve front (not on the back) and excellent quality sound.

Square Set - Square Set (featuring Silence Is Golden). LP. (Shot Records - SHOT 02) Ultra cool mid '60's South African band who had a huge hit with "Silence Is Golden" in 1967. Great swinging '60's beat soul pop with stunning keyboard work and orchestration (particularly fine on the bands cover of California Dreaming). Quality wise this is easily on a par with The Animals/Hollies/Zombies and any other mainstream beat pop act of the era.
