13th Floor Elevators - Bull Of The Woods (Spalax). CD. (Spalax - 14886) The last Elevators studio album, from 1968 and a much more produced and laid back effort. Although the band were already breaking up this still contains plenty of the musical integrity and weirdness of the earlier releases, particularly the track "Never Another", one of the band's finest moments.

Ain Soph - A Story Of Mysterious Forest. CD. (Spalax - 14579) Here's your chance to check out one of the most revered Japanese psychedelic rock albums. Recorded in 1980, this is an almost classical concept piece with some superb musicianship that takes in various genres along the way, and does indeed include some quite trippy intervals. Plenty of Moogs and mellotrons to give it a somewhat progressive feel and the 18 minute title track features stunning Floyd like guitar work. Highly Enjoyable.housed in a digi pack sleeve.

Amon Duul - Psychedelic Underground (German). CD. (Spalax - 14947) The fantastic yet derranged debut album by the other Amon Düül released in 1969. Amon Düül evolved from a commune and this album is therefore the result of communal, freaked out psychedelic free-form studio mayhem, with long extended work outs much like the first Red Crayola album (USA) and the first Hapshash and the Coloured Coat release (UK) A piece of psychedelic history.

Amon Duul (UK) - Meetings With Menmachines. CD. (Spalax - 14820) 1983 album of improvised German space rock featuring ex-Hawkwind bassist Dave Anderson amongst others. This is the English incarnation of the band and as such the sound owes in part to the '80s UK festi scene....

Amon Duul II - Utopia. CD. (Spalax - 14878) Reissue of the superb 1972 album that was recorded as a side project to Amon Düül II but features most of that band. With Renate Knaup in full voice this was a move towards shorter, more accessable songs, but with those spaced jams lifting the procedings into the ionosphere this album is a true AD classic. Includes three bonus tracks....

Ange - 1970-1971 En Concert. CD. (Spalax - 14858) One of the major players on the French 70s prog scene, this is a welcome archive release of early live material. With their dual-keyboard line-up, Ange stood out amongst most of the bands of the era, and this set includes a mix of Pink Floyd/Genesis & Jethro Tull-like material - including some songs unique to this album. As with many archive recordings from this period, sound quality however isn't perfect.

Anima - Anima. CD. (Spalax - 14530) Their third album from 1972, saw the Fuchs duo augmented with Austrian jazz avant-gardist Friedrich Gulda and Johann Anton Rettenbacher. Much more 'uncluttered' than their debut, this free-form album, features two long improvisations utilising voices, drums, zither, sparse percussion, piano and bass.... Best listened to at high volume in a very dark room!

Anima - Stürmischer Himmel. CD. (Spalax - 14278) Amongst the most experimental acts to emerge from Germany's underground, the duo of Paul and Limpe Fuchs, recorded this avant garde collage in 1971 at a "1,000 year old cottage on a windy hill". Utilising all manner of conventional and home-made instruments, it remains one of the oddest assemblage of noise to be released - even by Amon Düül & AMM standards! Great digi pack re-creates original artwork.

Annexus Quam - Beziehungen. CD. (Spalax - 14811) Last 2 copies of the bands second album from 1972 with a different line up and style. This release is an almost pure free-form jazz affair, with saxophones, flute and trombone combining with bass, Spanish guitar, and percussion. Two long & two short instrumental tracks make for a challenging, but rewarding listening experience! If you think Beefheart and Zappa was experimental, you should hear this!

Annexus Quam - Osmose. CD. (Spalax - 14881) Considered by many to be one of the finest Ohr albums this debut by the German experimental band can be compared to early Ashra Tempel, Kollektiv and the UK's 3rd Ear Band in that the group launch into space with cosmic free-form improvisations, featuring assorted electric and acoustic instruments. Long stoned jams filled with spacey reverberations, and drifting musical ideas. Superb!Nice 3 fold digi rounds off the package.

Areski & Brigitte Fontaine - L'Incendie. CD. (Spalax - 14815) One of the most famous '70's female French singers teams up with males vocalist Areski on this great album from 1973 (released on Gong's label, BYG) It mixes folk and ethnic music in a style similar to many experimental English folk rock bands of the period. Simple exotic percussion and acoustic instruments back dreamy vocals, medieval melodies, dervish dances and rustic harmonies. Beautiful stuff!

Ash Ra Tempel - Ash Ra Tempel. LP. (Spalax - LP14144) Great to finally have this on vinyl. Possibly the most psychedelic band to emerge from Germany in the '70s. This 1971 (debut) release contains 2 lengthy excursions that conatin bucket-loads of liquid guitar and synth work, which spin off into acid chaos at every opportunity. A total mind bending Kraut/Space Rock.

Ash Ra Tempel - Inventions For The Electric Guitar. LP. (Spalax - 14145) Vinyl version of this solo album from 1974 by Manuel Gottsching of Ash Ra Tempel that features heavily affected, repeating guitar improvisations and electronic effects that echo into infinity. Also an incredibly important album in pre-trance/ techno history, if you're looking for an electronic history lesson you can find it here. A must for all lovers of "Rainbow Dome Music" and tripped out sounds from the German Steve Hillage.

Ash Ra Tempel - Join Inn. LP. (Spalax - LP14146) Their amazing 1972 album which contains two tracks, one being an acid / space rock jam called "Freak 'n' Roll" which has a strong west Coast feel and the other being a long spacey synth trip with Klaus Shulze on keyboards.Excellent German cosmic stuff and one of the best albums of the genre. Asturias - Brilliant Streams. CD. (Spalax - 14535) Mostly instrumental, this laid-back Japanese prog album from 1989, utilises "E. Guitar" and computer programming to great effect supported by the usual gtr/bs/drums.... The four very relaxing tracks, with the longest at 22 mins, have an inventive feel, and evoke images of pastoral landscapes. Fans of Mike Oldfield ought to check this!

Atoll - Tokyo C'est Fini. CD. (Spalax - 14801) Late '80's Japanese symphonic progressive rock with biting lead guitar breaks and melodic synth based song structures.

Blackwater Park - Dirt Box. CD. (Spalax - 14511) Hard & heavy guitar rock from Berlin, 1971, with 'no-messin' attitude, overloaded guitar, and english vocals. Includes a cover of the Beatles "For No One", and a mini epic 8 min work-out "Rock Song". Somehow we can't help thinking maybe UFO saw this lot & decided to nick their act.. Blonde On Blonde - Reflections On A Life. CD. (Spalax - 14526) Third album from 1971 by this highly regarded but woefully ignored fine UK progressive band. Elements of Moody Blues or Barclay James Harvest could be gleaned from this album, but it's their own distinctive sound that shines through with those unique wavering vocals. A lost classic and housed in a digi pack

Catharsis - 32 Mars. CD. (Spalax - 14873) Recorded in 1971, but not released until 1975, this wild album by experimental French band spawned the underground hit "Masq" and can be compared to a European version of the US outfit Beat Of The Earth meets early Pink Floyd. Although this release has a rather short playing time (23 mins!), this album includes the freaky title track in both an 11 min and 3 min form, and features the bands usual mix of strong percussion, wordless vocals and inventive trippy keyboards.housed in a digi pack.

Catharsis - Et S'aimer.. Et Mourir... CD. (Spalax - 14280) This French bands final album from 1976, mirrored the development of their German counterpart's Amon Duul II move towards a more mainstream sound, with a jazz-rock flavour evident on most of the tracks.Last available copy.

Catharsis - Illuminations. CD. (Spalax - 14281) The bands 6th album and one of their more structured, was recorded in 1971, but not released until 1975. Featuring Charlotte Baudelaire's exquisite voice on several tracks, the compositions are more varied than ever, ranging from the transcendental "Aube" via uncommon treatments of 17th & 18th century music, to the childish "Mignonne Allons Voir".

Catharsis - Le Boléro Du Veau Des Dames. CD. (Spalax - 14203) 1976 album from this distinctive French prog band. Largely reliant on keyboard wizard Roland Bocquet , it's a mostly instrumental effort which features sitar on one track and an array of different keyboard styles - all ably supported by guitar, bass & drums

Catharsis - Les Chevrons. CD. (Spalax - 14202) Superb and strange French prog from 1972. This second album is similar in some ways to early Amon Duul II and the spacier Pink Floyd tracks, but is more reliant on drifting organ and gothic drums rolls, whilst the vocals are pretty much restricted to ghostly noises and strange chanting.

Catharsis - Volume 1 - Masq. CD. (Spalax - 14201) The debut album by this French band from 1971 is a weird mixture of accessible melodies, wordless chanting, strong repetitive percussion and layers of keyboards. Like a cross between a gothic horror soundtrack and a spaghetti western, it has elements of Pink Floyd's "Atom Heart Mother" and the finest Amon Duul II improvisations.

Clearlight - Forever Blowing Bubbles. CD. (Spalax - 14593) The 1975 follow-up to the hugely successful 'Clearlight Symphony' was a further mix of French electronica and symphonic psychedelic mushroom ambience. No Steve Hillage this time but his French twin, Christian Boule, lets rip on one track. Violinist Keith Cross from King Crimson also guests with some brain frying electric violin work. This edition has three extra tracks - including a 'mellotron remix'.

Clearlight (Cyrille Verdeaux) - Clearlight Symphony. CD. (Spalax - 14592) Finally, here is the original version of this classic 1973 Virgin album featuring Steve Hillage, Tim Blake and Didier Malherbe from Gong together with composer Cyrille Verdeaux and Christian Boule (the French Steve Hillage). A psychedelic symphony in two parts it's filled with the ingredients you would expect from such a lineup including trippy oscillator effects, synths and liquid electric guitar. Vintage magic mushroom music!

Floh De Cologne - Geyer-Symphonie. CD. (Spalax - 14918) Arguably the most unusal and innovative of their albums, this original concept piece concerns the life of corporate magnate Friedrich Flick & his exploits, with an extraordinary concoction of rock, blues, jazz and experimental theatre, taking in diverse elements from a death march, skiffle, and rock 'n' roll. Sung/narrated in German.

Floh De Cologne - Lucky Streik. CD. (Spalax - 14291) Recorded live in 1972 and originally released as a double LP, this communal collective were a kind of German equivalent to The Fugs or Mothers', being heavily involved as they were in the poltical protests of the day. Vociferously anti-capitalist, this album consists of the performance of a (then) unique piece, with German-language narrative... A fascinating document, with primitive musical backing! In miniature card sleeve, reproducing the original gatefold cover.

Floh De Cologne - Profitgeier - Live. CD. (Spalax - 14891) From 1971, the "Profit Vulture's Rock Opera" is an aggressive concept piece, with a primitive garagey organ/guitar communal backing and left wing radical political agenda. Ranting against millionaires, capitalism & the profit motive, the album is kind of like a German Fugs or a garage Crass! The fact that all the lyrics are in German, doesn't dimish the power in the delivery - particularly on the heavy "Wir brauchen keine Milliönre".... And the closing "Wir werden immer mehr"

Gerard - Irony Of Fate. CD. (Spalax - 14803) Superb Japanses prog from 1991. This is prog with a capital "P", chock full of Rick Wakeman-like keyboards, dramatic drum fills and tastefully histrionic guitar solos.Only 2 copies left

Gilgamesh - Another Fine Tune You've Got Me Into. CD. (Spalax - 14838) Superior jazz rock from 1978 by this UK band who included the Soft Machine's Hugh Hopper on bass and National Health's Alan Gowan on keyboards.. BARGAIN PRICE.

Gomorrha - Trauma (Spalax). CD. (Spalax - 14509) One copy only of this Spalax issue... The title track is one of the freakiest thirteen minutes of music in the whole Krautrock back catalogue, being a result of producer Conny Plank's active imagination and knob twiddling in the studio. Great 1970 album from Germany.

Gong - Floating Anarchy 1977. CD. (Spalax - 14829) Great reissue of the seminal 1977 release. Credited jointly to Gong and Here and Now, this is a brainstorming slice of powerful space rock acid weirdness which includes such classics as "Opium For The People" and "Stone Innocent Frankenstein". Highly recommended for floating anarchists everywhere.

Gong - Mystery And History Of Planet Gong. CD. (Spalax - 14518) First issued in '91 as a double LP, this great rarities collection is comprised of rare B-sides, radio sessions and live performances by many of the differing Gong line-ups and connected artists from the bands classic years. With full family tree and nifty fold out Digipak, this is a welcome addition for collectors or newcomers alike.

Guru Guru - Hinten. CD. (Spalax - 14295) Second album from one of Germany's finest '70s groups. Maybe not quite as weird as their first album, but technically stunning. Wrap your head around it.. Includes four tracks at ten minutes plus each.

Guru Guru - UFO. CD. (Spalax - 14296) Guru's first album, from 1970 is certainly a classic of the kraut rock genre. A musical equivalent to a trip, with tracks like "Der LSD March" giving you a good idea of what was going on. Waves of acid guitars, bombastic percussion and a heavy rhythm section all combine to produce a real mind-fuck of an album.

Guru Guru/Uli Trepte - Live And Unreleased. CD. (Spalax - 14998) Over 40 minutes of live stretched out Guru Guru jams, recorded in 1972 with plenty of intricate solos, plus the unreleased Conny Plank produced Uli Trepte sessions from 1974. Great classic Krautrock, available at last on CD. Unmissable! Bargain Price!

Hölderlin - Hölderlin's Traum. CD. (Spalax - 14297) From 1972 Germany comes the first album by this German band who started off with progressive folk rock leanings. This is possibly their best album - richly textured and with a gorgeous female vocal and stands up with the best of seventies Kraut Rock for its invention and sheer class.Housed in a digi.

Hoenig/Göttsching - Early Water. CD. (Spalax - 14536) 1976 collaboration with Gottsching of Ashra Tempel and Hoenig of Agitation free. As you would expect this is a spacey affair loaded with synths and consists of one long track. The overall sound is similar to Ahra's New Age Of Earth album....

Inner City Unit - New Anatomy. CD. (Spalax - 14845) 1984 album from Nik Turner's new-wave psych punk outfit with fellow Hawkwinder Dave Anderson, plus Dead Fred & Steve Pond.Housed in a digi pack that re-creates the original artwork.

Känguru - Känguru. CD. (Spalax - SPALAXCD14574) 1981 debut album by this post new wave krautrock band who played a brand of funky jazz rock very much in the style of later Kraan and similar German fusion bands. There is even the odd hint of Santana. A powerful rhythm section and strong melodic lead guitar powers this album along at a jolly rate.

Kenso - Yume No Oka. CD. (Spalax - 14534) Excellent Japanese progressive Jazz Rock from 1991 mixing Mahavishnu Orchestra like moves with spacey synthy excursions. Housed in a digi-pak.

Kim Fowley - Day The Earth Stood Still. CD. (Spalax - 14260) Apparently recorded in Sweden in 1970, this is one of Fowley's rarest LPs, and along with "Outrageous" one of his best. A multi-talented genius, this album explores the effects of war, with acerbic observations evident on tracks like "I Was A Communist For The FBI", "Is America Dead?", "The Man Without A Country" and "The Day The Earth Stood Still". An anti-war masterpiece.

Lard Free - Gilbert Artman's Lard Free. CD. (Spalax - 14225) From 1973, this French group led by Gilbert Artman, sound like Roger Fripp jamming with the Soft Machine, against sparse Neu-like rhythms. Six long mellow tracks, blending sax, synth, and bursts of off-the wall ragged guitar. Great!!.

Lard Free - I'm Around About Midnight. CD. (Spalax - 14221) Heavily influenced by the Kraut rock scene, this French band excelled at creating dark dreamscapes with occasional, but effective use of guitar. Their 2nd album from 1975, saw Gilbert Artmann move to a fuller, more electronic sound, with the six instrumental tracks interlocking into a sonic jigsaw.

Lard Free - III - Spirale Malax. CD. (Spalax - 14224) This French acts 1977 album, is rightly regarded as a masterpiece of Kraut/space rock, with the 17 min title track of undulating synths being a real brain-destroying headphone trip! On a par with the best mid-70s Tangerine Dream instrumental mind excursions.

Lard Free - Unnamed. CD. (Spalax - 14915) Recorded in Paris between 1971-72, this release of the embryonic Lard Free, is a tantalising glimpse into the French avant-garde. Sounding similar to the Soft Machine's experiments in instrumental-jazz, with sax, vibraphone & clarinet...

Mani Neumeier - Privat. CD. (Spalax - 14997) Guru Guru's drummer Mani Neumeier has explored many styles over the years and this 1992 album is an excursion into exotic percussion. Housed in an Indian styled digi-pak sleeve it's a percussive journey into the steaming Jungles, cultures and temples of deepest Asia.Last copy.

Manuel Göttsching Ashra - Dream & Desire. CD. (Spalax - 14243) 1977 album from the Ashra Tempel main-main. Featuring three long tracks, "Dream", "Desire" and... "Despair" of ambient floating textures, overlaid with subtle treated guitar. Manuel would later become the inspiration for a generation of Trance musicians, but the original/real deal is still the best!!

Manuel Gottsching - E2 - E4. CD. (Spalax - 14241) Landmark album by this Ashra Tempel mainman. This is the release that influenced many of the 90's trance / techno artists and was heavily sampled in the Ibiza classic 'Sueno Latino'. Steve Hillage described it as one of his top 10 albums of all time. Experimental inventive and mesmerising stuff.

Mor - Stations. CD. (Spalax - 14222) Like a French CSN&Y, this 1973 act, mix post-hippie rural rock with french-language folk. Elegant harmony vocals, accoustic & electric guitars and a gentle set of songs which evoke a summery, laid back feel. Featuring Dan Ar Bras!

Mormos - Great Wall Of China. CD. (Spalax - 14540) Superb debut album from 1971 by the American band based in France that evolved from US psych band Spoils Of War. A great album of off the wall folk/psych similar to Principle Edwards Magic Theatre, Comus, the Incredible String Band, and Doctor Strangely Strange but with a character all of it's own. Fragile, haunting and weird but with beautiful melodies and a rural druggy mystery. Fold out digi pak. Includes two bonus tracks.

Mugen - Leda Et Le Cygne. CD. (Spalax - 14802) Symphonic prog rock from Japan, featuring ex members of Vienna, Novela, Pageant, Outer Limits & Sirius. Featuring some fine Gilmour-like lead guitar and poly-synth keyboard overload!

Musica Elettronica Viva - Leave The City. CD. (Spalax - 14968) Spacecraft member Ivan Coaquette's earlier project with his wife from 1970. Leave The City is an electronic freeform odyssey similar to Cosmic Couriers. There are a lot of parallels to other Krautrock bands of the same era, voyaging through the ether by the power of drones. A very spaced out album!

Mythos - Dreamlab. CD. (Spalax - 14206) Second album from 1975, this highly regarded Kraut Rock band dedicated this album to Wernher von Braun and the sort of space exploration they explore here would make him proud. Synthesisers, Moogs and Mellotrons as well as the ubiquitous flute combine for a spacey cosmic journey into the mind.....

National Health - National Health. CD. (Spalax - 14827) Reissue in digipack of this great obscure mid '70s Canterbury album featuring Dave Stewart of the legendery Egg and Gong and featuring Pip Pyle (Gong) and Phil Miller (Hatfield & The North) Superb flowing keyboard based magic from one of the best bands of the genre.

National Health - Of Queues And Cures. CD. (Spalax - 14830) Late Seventies progressive jazz rock nugget with a line-up that reads like a Who's Who of UK rock. Led by Dave Stewart (ex Egg/Gong) and featuring Pip Pyle (Gong) and Phil Miller (Hatfield & The North), other one-time members included Steve Hillage, Bill Bruford and Jimmy Hastings. This 1978 album is a fine testament to this short lived ensemble.Housed in a digi pack that replicates the original artwork.

Nekropolis - Cultes Des Goules. CD. (Spalax - SPALAXCD14572) Subtitled "Ballet of Death" this 1981 album is a synthetically orchestrated Gothic rock extravaganza. (Try saying that after a couple of pipes !) Peter Frohmader is the brains behind this, and it's a bizarre release that should be filed somewhere between Devil Doll and Elend. Very odd !

Pageant - Pay For Dreamer's Sin. CD. (Spalax - 14533) Japanese progressive rock from 1989 featuring the wonderfully delicate female vocals of Hiroko Nagai. Falls into the 'melodic' prog bag rather than the 'twiddly-twiddly' variety, with washes of keyboards, and tastefully restrained guitar wig-outs.

Peter Frohmader - Nekropolis 2. CD. (Spalax - SPALAXCD14573) More symphonic strangeness from Herr Frohmader's German ensemble. Featuring specially written pieces for bass guitars and other odd juxtapositions of rock and classical influences, this 1982 release resembles a Phillip Glass/Bill Laswell/Brian Eno collaboration. In other words, kinda strange !

Popol Vuh - Einsjager Und Siebenjager. LP. (Spalax - LP14118) Vinyl version of possibly the bands best album from 1974.... beautiful electric guitar mixed with acoustic instruments and angelic female vocals with a west coast '60s vibe...mellow, jamming psychedelic music.Exact repro of the original sleeve.

Popol Vuh - Yoga. CD. (Spalax - 14207) Popul Vuh's Indian album from 1976. Two long pieces played entirely on Indian instruments. Chilled to the max...... Where's that bean bag....

Red Krayola - God Bless The Red Krayola & All Who Sail With It. CD. (Spalax - 14898) This second album from 1968, originally released on Houston's International Artists label, took their experimental avant-garde music right to the edge, and then gave it a little nudge. Featuring 20 short tracks, it remains one of the weirdest experiments in rock, with sparse instrumentation/production, off-key vocals and general freaked out weirdness. Lovers of The Godz and the ESP label in general, should check out this early album by Mayo Thompson!.Housed in a digi pack.

Scott Walker - Looking Back With. CD. (Spalax - REP4604) A collection of early material by this legendary and mysterious vocalist who later was part of the Walker Brothers before carving out his own niche as an introspective and powerful singer-songwriter. Now deleted.

Sergius Golowin - Lord Krishna Von Goloka. CD. (Spalax - 14883) This is really a Cosmic Couriers album and the last one to be reissued on CD.Recorded between 1972 & 73 this is an album full of rich musical textures with plenty of mellotrons, synths, vibes, flutes, guitars etc.The recording involved Klaus Schulze and members of Wallenstien and Witthuser & Westrupp. Sergius Golowin (friend of T.Leary), takes on vocal duties over this excellent body of work which is full of wierdness and innovation. Essential German cosmic music in a beautiful 3 fold digi-pak.

Siegfried Kessler - Man & Animals. CD. (Spalax - 14613) Considered as one of the most brilliant pianists of his time who recorded between 1969-91and worked with such people as Archie Shepp & Yochk’o Seffer .This CD compiles tracks from his early 70's albums and includes long spaced out jazzy tracks with guitars, synths,beautiful vibes, weird electronics , treated percussion instruments and a overall feeling of kraut rock bands like Ash Ra & Popol Vuh (pareticularly on long tracks tracks like "Ballade Dans La Brume")

Space Art - Trip In The Center Head. CD. (Spalax - 14934) France, 1977 was the epicenter for this explosion of instrumental sounds. Like later Tangerine Dream, with a definite Floyd edge.The use of many exotic instruments over the top of the electronic sounds begs this CD to be listened to on headphones. This reissue comes with two bonus tracks.

Stomu Yamashta - Red Buddha. CD. (Spalax - 14512) These two extended pieces from 1971 proved two things: that he was a superb musician and composer, and that he must have been born with eight arms!Electronic madness over to 16 minute tracks "Red Buddha" and the out there "As Expanding As".Good to see this available on CD

Sun Ra - Cosmos. LP. (Spalax - LP14763) 1976 recording, allegedly spontaneous and unplanned, that features some stunning organ and synth interplay while the Arkestra stomp through the tracks with skittering dialogues. John Gilmore and Marshall Jones are still very much to the fore, whilst Ra himself had by this point forsaken piano for something referred to as a 'rocksichord', not an instrument often listed in Down Beat polls!! Although far more atonal and rock-influenced than his wortk of ten years or more previous, and reliant heavily on keyboard trickery and electric bass, it's refreshing to hear at least one bandleader in the 70s that hadn't gone down the easy path of commercial fusion. Ever the nonconformist, there was only one Sun Ra.

Tangerine - De L'autre Côté De La Forêt. CD. (Spalax - 14856) Tangerine's 1975 debut, packed with acoustic guitars, flute and male/female harmony vocals, is a beautifully tranquil blend of French & US folk-rock, with a rural-hippie undercurrent. Featuring the delicate vocals of Valéry Btesh, it radiates the sheltered warmth of an endless indian summer. Some tracks sung in English.

Tangerine - Memoire. CD. (Spalax - 14855) More closely related to US roots and folk-rock, than their debut, this 1976 release by the French 'Fairports was recorded after the departure of vocalist Valéry Btesh. On offer is an excellent set of relaxed rural hippie-rock, sounding more like 1972 than 76! Most songs sung in English.

Tangerine (Valéry Btesh) - Rêves Cristal. CD. (Spalax - 14857) The 1977 solo album, by the angelic vocalist of France's much loved Tangerine. Comparisons with Sandy Denny are not far off the mark, with a mellow folk/rock backing and those enchanting, wistful, velvet hippie-ish tones... 3 tracks sung in English....

Tarot (Cosmic Jokers) - Walter Wegmüller's Tarot. Dble CD. (Spalax - 14900) Finally back in print. A double CD digi pak reissue of the best Cosmic Jokers release featuring Ashra Temple, Klaus Schulze and various other German space heads. This is a brain blowing double set of spaced out acid drenched Kraut rock based on the Tarot cards designed by Walter Wegmüller. Treat your head..

Tea - The Ship. CD. (Spalax - 14929) CD re-issue of the Philips LP and the Swiss bands second from 1975. Very much in the style of early Deep Purple and Uriah Heep this is guitar and keyboard led heavy rock with a progressive edge.This beauty was produced and arranged by Dieter Dierks.

Teca & Ricardo - Volume 1. CD. (Spalax - 14615) This duo was formed by Teca Calazans and Ricardo Vilas in France, where they lived from 1969 to 1979 - they recorded seven albums. Active from 1971 to 1981, the duo performed in several European countries, divulging Brazilian popular and folkloric musics.This compilation covers the above period.

Them - Shut Your Mouth. CD. (Spalax - 14967) Three-fifths of the original Them line-up re-united for this 1979 album, which shows they had lost none of the passion & fury since they first got together some 16 years earlier. Unlike many attempted re-unions, this still cuts the mustard, without compromising their original R&B sound.

Van Der Graaf Generator - Time Vaults. CD. (Spalax - 14847) Archive recordings from between 1971 and 1975. Derived from rehearsal tapes / rough mixes and put together by Peter Hammil, their quality is by his own admission "rough", but the VdGG magic is still unmissable... One for Hammil collectors and VdGG aficionados!

Wallenstein - Blitzkrieg. CD. (Spalax - 14272) 1971 debut by Krautrockers Wallenstein, 'Blitzkreig' has a keyboard dominated classical rock sound with some amazing guitar work. Core Wallenstein members Jurgen Dollase, keybords and Jerry Berkers on Bass and vocal duties are famed for their contributions to the Cosmic Jokers albums.

Wallenstein - Mother Universe. CD. (Spalax - 14273) The second album (from 1972) by this idiosyncratic German band who delivered heavy progressive rock with symphonic touches and spaced out cosmic strangeness. This release is a weird mixture of dreamy folky material laced with mellotrons and more complex hard edged hippy rock. Great guitar work and frantic keyboards decorate a roller coaster of an album that's similar to Dutch band Supersister's eclectic explorations.

Xhol Caravan - Mother Fuckers GMBH. CD. (Spalax - 14531) Recorded in 1970 but not released until two years later on the Ohr label. It's more of an experimenta diverse sound than their earlier albums. "Mother Fuckers" is a kraut rock classic with mind frying psychedelic and progressive jams.Tasty digi pack sleeve.

Zed - Visions Of Dune. CD. (Spalax - 14547) Stark and spacey album based upon the famous Sci-Fi books. Featuring members of Spacecraft and the synths of Bernard Szajner this is, as you would expect, a dreamy and sinister album similar to French band Heldon but at times is also reminiscent of Tangerine Dream or even Tim Blake. Bargain Price!
