Albion Band - Acousticity. CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD306) Formed in the early 70s by Ashley Hutchings, a founder member of Fairport Convention and Steeleye Span, this is the first in a trilogy of acoustic albums which feature vocalist Simon White and Fairport guitarist Simon Nicol.

Albion Band - Before Us Stands Yesterday. CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD318) Second in this UK folk rock bands acoustic trilogy, providing a good insight into their brand of acoustic folk rock that has wowed audiences around the world. Features guest appearances by members of Fairport Convention.

Amazing Blondel - A Foreign Field That Is Forever England- Live Abroad. CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD330) This album is a beautiful selection from recordings made on the final tour and what is remarkable is the clarity and quality of the recordings. These of course are over twenty years old but the songs are played to the same high standards as the studio recordings. The introductions are however somewhat basic bearing in mind the foreign audience which is understandable but nonetheless their wit and humour is evident in no uncertain terms and the jokes are well appreciated.

Amazing Blondel - Restoration. CD. (Transatlantic - CMA 607) Nearly thirty years after they first played together, the original line-up of one of the UK's most eccentric and ambitious folk-rock groups reformed for this 1997 album. It's one of the best "comeback" albums we've heard sounding like the band never went away. In the true spirit of their classic original LPs, this triumphant return blends traditional music from the Tudor era with a modern sensibility. Now at a ridiculous price!

Ashley Hutchings - The Guv'nor Vol 3. CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD326) The third volume in this highly-regarded series explores still further the important contribution that Hutchings has made shaping contemporary roots music. Once again as with previous volumes this contains previously unreleased material. Includes tracks by Fairport convention and the Albion Dance band.

Band, The - High On The Hog. CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD228) Their second reunion project, built on the Band's old foundations of Memphis, rock 'n' roll, Chicago Blues and backwoods country. Includes a joyous remake of the 90s soul hit "Free Your Mind", Dylan's "Forever Young", and a rare live recording by the late Richard Manuel.

Caravan - 'Live' Canterbury Comes To London. CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD 302) Recorded at the Astoria Theatre in 1997, this excellent CD captures the best of the Canterbury legends' recent live shows. Including such favourites as "Nine Feet Underground", "Golf Girl" and an eleven minute "For Richard". A band brimming over with the musical virtuosity and skill expected from thirty something years in the business.

Caravan - All Over You. CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD305) Given up on a new Caravan album that was any good? Look no further!!... This is the best thing they have done since "In The Land Of Grey And Pink". It's one of the best things they have ever done! Stunning reinterpretations of their classics done in a trippy acoustic / electric style with sound effects and bouncy rhythms... This was one of the best albums of 1996 easily... BUY!

Caravan - Battle Of Hastings. CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD311) 1995 album from Canterbury melodic rock experimentalists at the top of their game, theirs is a unique, often pastoral and determinedly English music that is utterly timeless. Reissued on HTD with lyric booklet.

Cyril Davies / Various - Preachin' The Blues. CD. (Transatlantic - TRQDD407) The late Cyril Davies was the UK’s first and most accomplished disciple of Chicago blues. Cyril’s groundbreaking partnership with Alexis Korner laid the foundations for the UK 60’s Blues/R&B boom. This is a unique anthology comprising virtually every track that Cyril is known to have played and/or sang on between 1954-64.This is all seriously collectable material and much of Disc 1 has never previously been reissued, much less has it ever appeared on CD. Containing a total of 50 tracks, this is a comprehensive anthology.

Groundhogs - Groundhog Night Live. Dble CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD319) Recorded at the legendary Marquee club in 1993, this double CD has been classed as one of the best Groundhogs CD's ever with tracks unavailable elsewhere.

Groundhogs - Hogs In Wolfs Clothing. CD. (Transatlantic - TECD092) More than 30 years after he first assembled the the ultimate blues power trio, Tony McPhee is still exploring the sonic potential of the blues with the Groundhogs. This 1998 album includes their interpretations of some of the genre's (blues) most enduring songs.

Groundhogs - Muddy Waters Songbook. CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD317) "I knew I was listening to one of the original bluesmen" , says Hogs mainman Tony McPhee of his first encounter with the legendary Muddy Waters. Muddy's brand of Chicago blues has always been a vital influence on the band, and here they repay the debt with a tribute collection of some of his most famous songs.

Groundhogs - No Surrender(razor's Edge Tour 1985). CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD328) The Groundhogs began in 1964, when John Lee's Grounhogs were founded to back John Lee Hooker on a British tour. In the early 70's they began swimming with the tide of heavy progressive rock and chalked up three top 10 albums! This document from the 1985 tour splits the material from new and classic Hog's material.

Harvey Andrews - I'm Resigning FromToday. Dble CD. (Transatlantic - TRRDD 403) "The Transatlantic Anthology". Everything that Andrews cut for Transatlantic between 1965-76. This 2CD set (35 tracks) includes album outtakes & previously unreleased tracks.It is the first time that the bulk of this material has appeared on CD.Fully informative booklet.

Judy Dyble - The Lost Voice Of Folk. CD. (Transatlantic - TREDD 405) wholly unique career overview, from Judy's first group, Judy & The Folkmen, through to her subsequent recordings with the Fairports, Giles, Giles & Fripp & most recent work

Peter Banks - Instinct. CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD309) Ex-Yes Peter Banks' guitar extravaganza had critics reaching for comparisons with Steve Vai when this album was released. With its use of vocal sampling and multi-faceted instrumental layering, "Instinct" proved that Banks had lost none of his invention and skill.

Peter Banks - Reduction. CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD338) Innovative veteran guitarist, Peter Banks was once a member of prog stalwarts Yes. His own work favours experimental guitar excursions, pushing back musical barriers and setting ever-higher standards for himself.

Steve Harley - Poetic Justice. CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD242) Harley's 1996 album has an almost live in the studio feel to it, and indeed the mood is far more rootsy than anything he has recorded before. Ther's not a hint of eyeliner on display as he delivers a set of fine folk/country-flavoured acoustic rock numbers such as 'That's My Life In Your Hands' 'The Last Time I Saw You' 'Strange Communications' and 'Two Damned Lies'- all of which rank among his best work since "Love's A Prima Donna"- backed by piano, mandolin, accordion, upright bass and percussion, balanced with inspired covers of Van Morrison ('Crazy Love') Bob Dylan ('Love Minus Zero No Limit') and Jimmy Ruffin ('What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted', of course). The album also features a revamp of Harley fan fave 'Riding The Waves (For Virginia Woolf)' which updates the song without losing any of the beauty of the original.

Tony McPhee - Bleachin The Blues. CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD322) Groundhogs founder member returns to his roots for this acclaimed journey through the music that defined an era in American culture. Tony covers songs by John Lee Hooker (whom he first played in the mid 60's), plus many other blues greats.

Tony McPhee - Foolish Pride. CD. (Transatlantic - TRACD312) The long awaited follow up to "Two Sides Of Tony McPhee" finally appeared in 1993, showcasing the Groundhogs maestro at his stripped-down blues soaked best.

Wild Willy Barrett - Judge & The Devil Anthology 1968-2005. Dble CD. (Transatlantic - TRQDD406) Unique anthology of talented multi-instrumentalist’s long, eccentric, erratic recording career. Very much a collector’s set, including odd singles, rare demos, live recordings, outtakes and plenty of previously unreleased material.
