Beautiful 2 LP gatefold sleeve set of the 1999 release by the Flaming Lips. This album broke the band wide open to the world with a massive critical response of thumbs up. The band's new breed of psychedelia was given the full production treatment on this album. Tracks like "What Is The Light" will fry your brains whilst other cuts showed a mellow acid side side to the lips. Highly recommended.
The 2002 release from the Flaming Lips continues their weird assault on the senses with this album. Tracks like 'Ego Tripping At The Gates Of Hell" is a total reefer and headphones job. Once again the Lips deliver a psychedelic masterpiece and the world finally has caught up to this outstanding act. Bargain Price!

Produced by Emmylou Harris and James Austin, this is a comprehensive collection of Parson's legendary recordings for Reprise. This set includes his two albums and a bonus disk of rarities. Forty four tracks, fabulously remastered that really breathes life into these sessions. It hardly needed this treatment but in all honesty, it is very welcome now it is here; one of those remastered sets that you didn’t realise you needed. Rarities disk includes: "Sleepless Nights", "Kiss The Children (Duet With Barry Tashian)", "Ooh Las Vegas (Alternate Version)" and "Hickory Wind (Alternate Version)"
Here's an obscure album for all the progsters around from the well-known Spanish outfit from 1978. Benito Moreno was a guy from Sevilla, brother of Maximo Moreno who did the Triana albums artwork. Look who's playing here: Jess de la Rosa (keyboards), Eduardo R. Rodway (guitar) and Juan Jos Palacios (drums and percussion).Infact we nearly have all of Triana playing and handling all arrangements here behind Benito.Housed in a brilliant digi sleeve re-creating the original artwork.
Last of the missing vinyl albums re-issued on CD. This was first on your turntables in 1970 and still sounds as fresh now.Lengthy excursions this time around as two of the six tracks run for about six minutes, with Robin Williamson's "When You Find Out Who You Are" and "Pictures in a Mirror" clocking in at 11 minutes. They were edging closer to more conventional rock on this release in their own unique style.
U was the band's 1970 concept album recorded to go with a live theatre performance. It was at points baffling but nevertheless a masterpiece of work that now suits the re-mastered treatment down to the ground.Heron's "Rainbow" clocking in at 15 minutes is a real treat weaving rock elements into the psych-folk.Therefore, even if U is somewhat underrated, it's still a lot to take in at one time. On repeated listenings, however this whole album starts to make sense and it must have been amazing live! A real lost classic.
The bands blend of gutsy blues and scathing rock catapulted them into the music world's Panteon, This DVD takes you on a spellbinding journey of song and imagination. This high-impact movie captures the group's legendary 1973 Madison Square Garden concert stand and uncorks a freewheeling mix of scenes showing group members at home and in elaborate fantasy settings. Robert Plant's raw lead vocals, Jimmy Page's explosive riffery and the sonic boom rhythm wall of bassist John Paul Jones and drummer John Bonham all swirl, clash and collide-on classic tunes like "Stairway to Heaven", "Dazed and Confused", "Whole Lotta Love" and many others. No one goes down heavier than Zep.Region 0 PAL disc.

This compilation focuses on the use of quirky time signatures (as used by the prog and jazz rock bands of the 70s) as well as modal explorations (using a tonal centre as a base for improvisation) much favoured by John Coltrane. A fascinating insight into one of the most creative periods in jazz.

Spanish folk group from the Asturias region. This triple CD includes their first 3 albums from the 70's. 'Asturias, Ayer Y Güei', 'Atiendi, Asturias' and 'Cancios d'un Pais'. Very deep into traditional folk of their region, recommended if you like FUXAN OS VENTOS for example. An absolute bargain for three CDs.
1979 album by the bass player of Wigwam. This album remains elements of his earlier releases. Instrumental progressive rock that delves into a jazzier world style. The other musicians that played on this album included Seppo Tyni who contributes some great guitar work.
Here is the brand new 2005 album from Porcupine Tree, which follows on from the heavy progressive rock sound of In Absentia adding some more melodic and experimental moments. In many ways this album is a hybrid of Lightbulb Sun, Stupid Dream and In Absentia and to prove the point it includes a hidden re-recording of 'She's Moved On'. The German only single, which is included with this package, features two non-album tracks 'So Called Friend' and 'Half Light ' and we are aware that there are no plans to issue a single in other European countries at present. Both releases include beautiful cover art by Mike Bennion and Lasse Hoile.
This album dated from the earlier part of Roy's career (1968) as a leader, before he delved heavily into R&B and funk fusions and instead concentrates on more soul jazz grooves. Roy leads a septet including such big names as Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter. The groove keeps percolating nicely throughout this album making 'Stoned Soul Picnic' one of his better jazz-oriented outings.
Rutles 2: Can't Buy Me Lunch takes place 25 years later and features interviews with David Bowie, Tom Hanks, Robin Williams, Carrie Fisher, Steve Martin, Jewel, Salman Rushdie, and Jann Wenner of Rolling Stone, among others, as well as deleted scenes from the first one (" Al You Need Is Cash") including appearances by Mick Jagger and George Harrison. New songs from Neil Innes' Rutles Archaeology album are used throughout.PAL REGION 2.

A selection of recordings made for the Asylum label in the 70's by one of America's finest song writers. Here is some Tom's best material 'Diamonds On My Windshield', 'Martha', 'Small Change' and 'Ruby's Arms'. Distinctive, evocative and emotional are the by-words for these songs. Hard to pigeon hole somewhere between blues, folk, country and poetry.
