Barry Ryan - Singing The Songs Of Paul Ryan. CD. (Rev Ola - CRREV115) 60s pop harmony duo Paul and Barry Ryan, like many other acts of the time (Herman's Hermits, Tremeloes, Chad And Jeremy) experienced trouble when moving from their more mainstream beat sound into popsike/freakbeat-oriented waters, the result being their split in 1968 and the relaunching of Barry as a solo artist with his brother penning all the songs. Marketed as an English Scott Walker or Jimmy Webb, the scintillating orch-pop sound of 'Eloise' snashed to NO.1 and led to a fruitful solo career that stretched into the 70s, including further hits 'The Hunt' and 'Love Is Love'. This remastered album, never before issued on CD, collates the first two of those classic albums, and adds two tracks only found on the German version of the second., as well as featuring new artwork, in-depth liner notes and interviews with Bazza himself.

Lambert & Nuttycombe - At Home. CD. (Fallout - FOCD2058) Dennis Lambert and Craig Nuttycombe had been on the fringes of LA’s music scene for some time, including stints with bands such as the East Side Kids and the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, when they decided to proceed as a duo. This beautifully intimate 1970 release was recorded live at the home they shared in Sausalito, California, and co-produced by David Anderle (The Doors, Love), Chad Stuart (Chad And Jeremy) and Glyn Johns (Beatles,Rolling Stones). A mellow collection of self-penned ballads that showcases their superb vocal harmonies and subtle guitar interplay, it has attracted a major cult following over the years. Though they gigged widely in California, Lambert’s heroin addiction made it hard for them to break nationally and they parted after recording one further album in 1973.

Picadilly Line - The Huge World Of Emily Small. LP. (Lightning Tree - LIGHT FLASH LP) An official vinyl reissue of the now rare (and expensive!) 1967 album by the whimsical UK psychedelic pop band who featured future Edwards Hand founders Roger Hand and Rod Edwards (also later in Jade) and who also played at legendary psychedelic venues UFO and Middle Earth! Classic English '60's psych pop that is comparable to The World Of Oz, psych Chad And Jeremy, and Donovan. The Donovan comparison is especially apt as the Picadilly Line is not only produced by Don's producer, John Cameron but also features the same backing band used on Sunshine Superman. Housed in the beautiful original, flower power pop-art sleeve!

Thorinshield - Thorinshield. CD. (Fallout - FOCD2005) Only album from the psyche tinged folk/pop group, first time on CD. Long time cult heroes among sunshine pop fans due to their beautiful harmonies and classy orchestrations. Definitely more of a folksy sound clearly influenced by the flourishing Psyche scene of the time the band despite being American had a very "English" sound with nods towards The Beatles, Donovan and Chad And Jeremy . Much neglected Los Angeles '60's pop that's highly recommended. Original eleven track album with two bonus tracks rare non-LP 45's, "Family Of Man" and "Lonely Mountain Again." Also includes: "Prelude To A Postlude", "Life In A Dream", "Daydream" and "Collage Of Attitudes."
