Baby Woodrose - Dropout. CD.
(Bad Afro Records - AFROCD021)
Baby Woodrose originated from On Trial the Danish psych band (and how!) This is the band's 2004 tribute to the garage groups from the 60’s & &70's that have influenced them over the years. While at least some of the songs have similar lyrical themes, such as the antisocial proto-punk attitude of "The World Ain’t Round, It’s Square" and "Dropout Boogie" the songs on Dropout! don’t have anything in common other than the fact that the band think they or the people who wrote them have been important influences for them, when writing their own music.Includes Can’t Explain (Love) I Lost You In My Mind (The Painted Faces) Who’s It Gonna Be (The Lollipop Shoppe) I Don’t Ever Wanna Come Down (The 13th Floor Elevators) The World Ain’t Round, It’s Square (The Savages) Dropout Boogie (Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band) I’m Going Home (The Sonics) This Perfect Day (The Saints) Not Right (The Stooges) A Child Of A Few Hours (The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band) | ![]() |
